Kapitel 89: Forgotten Promises

Maya's POV

I couldn't believe I had difficulty falling asleep last night because of Adonis Monleon. My back aches while my eyes felt so heavy. And I wouldn't say I like it that I wake up earlier than my schedule time and I couldn't go back to sleep at all. So, instead of lying on my bed, I got up and changed my pajamas into shorts and a loose T-shirt. I tied my hair into a ponytail using an elastic band. I started cleaning the house. And I am surprised when I found my brother drinking coffee in the dining room.

"Good morning, Maya. Do you want some coffee?" He greeted me and asked.

"Sure, I think I need caffeine this morning to finish cleaning the house and washing the clothes. I didn't sleep well last night." I said to him as I held the broom, and I saw my brother furrowed his forehead.

"Why? Is it because of Adonis's presence last night?" Rich asked.
