Kapitel 314: A fallen Warden

Xander fell on his knees as a searing pain tore through his chest, making him hunch over. His face darkened, and his vision became blurry as his eyes flooded with tears. He tried to stand back up, but his legs failed him.

The Blind Deity held absolute power over the Soulscape, and her word was law. The Nyxons had earned their title as Wardens of the Soulscape by gaining the Goddess' favor, but her benevolence had limits.

Xander's adamant insistence on breaking the rules of this realm had displeased the Blind Deity, and the punishment was swift. She had stripped Xander of all his ancestral powers in the blink of an eye, leaving him in a state of helplessness.

"The departed souls never return from the Soulscape. You should not have tried to bring back what does not belong in your world anymore," the Blind Deity proclaimed aloud, her voice booming across the empty room. "Leave now, little one. You have failed. And let this lesson serve you well in the future."
