During the next months, Cael was made aware that yes, Arca dug out other dissidents one by one like carrots from a garden plot. They appeared alarmingly numerous and organized, but on the large scale of things, too weak and lacking resources to be a threat to Cael and his plans.
The plans advanced nicely even without his direct input—though there was always something to do to help.
By this point, the Prime Minister has completely solidified his control over the Kingdom of the Bear. But from there, he moved further. With the support of the Archbishop and the Vampire Courts, he had the position of force from which to create new alliances.
Vampires really were a force to be reckoned with. Few, but each powerful enough to intimidate most humans, they did a great job of improving the lands gifted to them with their knowledge and experience.
Ok, ok, this is the last chapter where nothing major happens, I promise! Kinda. Not really?..
