Arca coughed and rose on his elbow. "Leave him, brothers. You won, fair and square, Oliveira—this time, and there will be a next one, I swear. But the Allfather still sent me his prettiest angel in reward for my efforts." Arca beamed at Myrna.

The girl blushed, but said sternly, "Don't move! You have a cut vein, and if I don't stop the bleeding, you will be soon seeing REAL angels!"

"Yes, yes." Arca sighed and fell back.

Since his priests didn't look on the verge of attacking anymore, Cael marched past them towards Arca. Their angry glares and mutterings he ignored.

"I wonder if you priests wear red so blood wouldn't show," Cael mused. "Myrna, I hope you won't be healing him to full health. I'm afraid we will have to fight again then. And while this was a good battle, a repeat would be too soon."
