Kapitel 410: Deserves some gloating

Cael was almost there, but so was Ronzio. Dieter's life was on the edge, and who knew what would happen after Starspawn fully took over?

Nothing good, either way. At the very least, another life would be lost.

'Just use your damn eyes, Occhio!' Cael thought, already too far away to say it in the man's face. Not that Cael was looking at him at all.

Then the air bubble of a barrier that surrounded Dieter's sled suddenly collapsed on itself, shrinking to the size of a single person. The barrier's walls let the sled through and tried to compress on Ronzio.

The Starspawn possessing it threw out his hand, slicing through the spell. It was too rushed to actually stop him—except now both he and Dieter were unprotected from the incessant blizzard.
