"Not! That is not what I mean. I'm not worried about you. Because you are my guest and I take full responsibility for you. So, you don't think so." said Edgar with a flushed face.
"And again, you are shameless yourself. You should have locked the door if you wanted to do that." said Maya as she chewed her food.
"Why do you have to blame me? aren't you the wrong one? entering the room people do not knock on the door first." said Edgar while narrowing his eyes at Maya who was enjoying her fried rice.
"Never mind, no need to discuss it again. It's not like you are like that! No matter where you are, you must do something like that without any shame." said Maya, ignoring Edgar's feelings.
"Looks like you were created as a woman with a hot mouth." said Edgar, trying to hold back his emotions.
"I'm telling the truth, aren't I?" Maya asked without guilt.
"If you already know I am like that why do you still follow me? I told you, my life can never be separated from a woman." said Edgar staring hard at Maya's eyes.
Maya swallowed her saliva, her mouth stopped chewing as Edgar's face got very close to hers.
"I followed you because you promised me to give me a place to stay! you remember that right?" said Maya, blinking her eyes when she felt the roar of Edgar's breath against her face.
"Never mind, I'm dizzy talking to you." said Edgar, sitting back on the chair, closing his eyes feeling the hunger in his stomach.
For a moment Maya raised her face while sharpening her hearing.
A smile rose from Maya's lips when she heard the sound of Edgar's stomach. Maya knew that Edgar was starving without daring to ask her for food.
Still with a smile, Maya got up from her seat. And Maya's movements made Edgar open his eyes.
"Where are you going?" asked Edgar between feeling sleepy and feeling hungry.
"I want to go back for a bit." said Maya, carrying her dirty plate.
Not long after, Maya approached Edgar who was leaning on his back while holding his stomach. Even though Maya often upsets Edgar's heart and on the contrary Edgar also upsets her heart, Maya still can't let Edgar starve. After all, Edgar had helped her give her shelter and protection.
"Wake up!" said Maya, patting Edgar's shoulder.
Edgar opened his eyes, he saw Maya standing in front of him, carrying a plate of fried rice.
"What is this?" asked Edgar, looking at Maya with his eyes half open.
"Fried rice, eat it. Aren't you really hungry? your stomach was singing from earlier." Maya said while giving the fried rice she brought to Edgar.
Still feeling incomprehensible to Maya's kind attitude, Edgar accepted the fried rice and immediately ate it with great appetite.
Maya smiled, then went to the kitchen again and came back with a glass of water and put it on the table.
"My job is finished, now I want to sleep." said Maya leaving her place.
"Wait!" said Edgar while holding Maya's hand to go.
Maya stopped in her tracks as Edgar held her hand.
"What is it? are you still hungry?" Maya asked with a mocking smile.
Edgar got up from his seat and approached Maya. Maya moved her face away from Edgar's who was getting closer to hers.
"I will accompany you in the kitchen. Who knows you'll disappear again like a ghost." said Edgar with a nonchalant face walking into the kitchen.
Maya's eyebrows rose and lips pursed tightly when Edgar said she was a ghost.
Maya angrily followed Edgar and pinched Edgar's stomach very hard.
"Ouch...what are you doing Maya? Your pinch hurts so much!" said Edgar, holding his stomach.
"That's the result! why do you say that i'm a ghost?! if I was a ghost, I would have strangled you and not fed you!" Maya said with an annoyed face.
Edgar smiled seeing Maya's anger, the simple face on Maya's face was getting more and more charming.
"Listen to me Maya, if you're not a ghost why should you be angry?" said Edgar while splashing tap water on Maya's face.
"You!! you are so annoying Edgar!! Just look at my revenge." Maya said angrily, taking dish soap and smearing it on Edgar's face.
"Maya?!! did I just give you water? not soap!" said Edgar quickly hugged Maya and replied Maya by putting soap on her nose.
"Enough Edgar!! you always piss me off!! Quickly get out of here!" Maya said angrily taking a jug of water ready to be splashed towards Edgar.
"Don't do it Maya! okay...okay I'm sorry. I want to help you wash the dishes." Edgar said with his hands half up in surrender.
"Really? did I not hear wrong?" Maya asked with an unblinking gaze.
Edgar nodded his head with a serious face.
"Well if you want to help me, here you wash it all. I will rest and sleep, good work Mr. Edgar." Maya said with a smile.
Edgar's eyebrows shot up at all the work Maya had given him.
"Maya?? why do I have to do everything?" asked Edgar with an innocent face feeling that Maya was playing with her.
With a smile Maya got up from her place but Edgar called for name.
"Maya where are you going? how about this job?" asked Edgar irritably.
"I want to sleep, thank you for helping me. I really can't believe that you are so kind-hearted to help me clean this all up." Maya said with a triumphant smile. Only this time Maya felt happy to be able to prank a cold man like Edgar.
"Maya!! wait!! Where do you want to sleep?" asked Edgar, making sure he wouldn't get into the wrong room and that there would be no more misunderstandings.
"I'll sleep in your room only. Emm .. I mean the room I was in during Grandma Ijah's massage." said Maya with a flushed face leaving Edgar who was rooted in place.
