Lu Lingche looked at her manic demeanor, so far removed from the image of the gentle mother she usually portrayed, and he suddenly found her appearing somewhat repugnant.
Was it because she had insulted Qiao Yin, and this had elicited in him a deep-seated abhorrence and a reaction of rejection?
Or was it that his mother wasn't really the kind-hearted woman he'd initially perceived her to be; rather, she was a mother with a highly strung personality and a malicious heart?
Lu Lingche realized that he barely knew the people around him. He had only ever seen the outward appearance, never really delving into their inner thoughts and motivations.
He spoke in a nonchalant manner, "I hope you don't insult Qiao Yin anymore. Whether I allow her into my life or not is entirely my decision. If you need to vent, you can let it all out on me. This matter has nothing to do with her. Don't tell me you thought she willingly returned with me?"
