Kapitel 19: Chapter 19: Are You Kidding?

After leaving Old Madam Lu's place, Qiao Yin drove home. As she was about to reach her neighborhood, she spotted a group of people chasing someone from afar.

As she got closer, she was stunned to realize that the person being chased was her own father, Qiao Haidong!

The night was deep, and her father was running so desperately that he suddenly fell. The group immediately surrounded him, landing blows and kicks.

Shocked, Qiao Yin sped up the car, honked the horn vehemently, and then rushed out of her car towards Qiao Haidong.

"Dad!"

Qiao Haidong's face was bleeding profusely. Looking at his daughter, his voice trembled with a sob, "Yinyin, they are here to collect money from me. I have none left, so they started beating me up… I... I just thought I could hide at your place…"

Seeing her father in that condition, Qiao Yin felt a bitter sensation in her heart. As she helped him up and wiped away his blood, she suggested, "Dad, let's call the police!"
