Following the line of sight of Ying Yue and controlling the Shen energy to see the specific fate of the person she pointed out, Tian Xing was stunned to see Curie from the multiverse of Fallout, now an oriental physician in this Xianxia civilization. Adjusting his mindset to align with the ancient mystical background of his variants, he realized he had been referring to his people as Xianxia, a term that felt odd to him as many variants of natural-born cultivator.
Shaking his head and refocusing on Ying Yue's question, Tian Xing nodded, "Yes, Ying Yue, I recognize her. Specifically, I recognize her because I have 34, now 35, variants where I become the Sole Survivor."
Shaking his head, Tian Xing continued, "Sadly, master do not have a personal history with this specific Curie. It might be difficult to make her join the ranks of your sisters."
Giggling, Ying Yue replied, "But Yue does."
Stunned, Tian Xing asked, intrigued, "Truly?"
Nodding her head and recalling one of her 28 variants where she becomes the Sole Survivor, Ying Yue answered, "Yes, master. Yue has a long history with this specific Curie, and luckily for this one, she is Yue's best friend and not a lover, so the relationship can be easily aligned with master's fate."
Pausing, Ying Yue then teased, "Not only that, as far as Yue knows, she is still pure in both body and mind by the time my variants teleported into this world. So master, I think you will have the first Serene Lotus Pavilion member who is truly innocent this time."
Even though the calculations indicated a high probability that she would become his concubine and remain loyal for a very long time, Tian Xing still needed to adopt the attitude of someone who genuinely wanted to court her, not wanting to cheapen the process and risk falling into the unknown butterfly effect.
Turning toward Ying Yue, he shook his head and said, "Don't be too eager and don't make a decision for her, Yue. Whether Curie wants to join the Serene Lotus Pavilion is up to her alone. Because of that, master won't force it, even if fate allows it to happen. I don't want to take advantage of her innocence just for my satisfaction or comprehension benefit."
Controlling the formation disk to make the flying boat stop and hover over Curie's clinic, Tian Xing continued with a heavy sigh, "Unlike you two mature women, whom I don't mind being harsh with and making you two to become my personal toys, this is the first time for this uncorrupted lady."
Seeing the pained expressions on both their faces—probably realizing he was referring to their impurity, which he really didn't mind since his many variants himself were twisted beyond belief—Tian Xing continued, "Because of that, I am very reluctant to manipulate or even consider her as a Serene Lotus Pavilion member. For the simple reason that I don't want to torture her true soul with our sect's restrictions."
Looking down at her from a distance, Tian Xing sighed and said, "Since her current life is already beautiful enough as it is without our interruption, I think this beautiful flower is best admired from a distance."
After a long silence that seemed to stretch into infinity, Tian Xing heard Ying Yue's simple reply.
"No…"
Taking a deep breath and shaking her head, Ying Yue said again, "No."
After gazing at the beautiful flower for a while, Tian Xing turned toward Ying Yue with a cold gaze and asked, "Why do you say that, Yue?"
With sweaty palms from trepidation, afraid her master might think she wanted to drag the innocent one just to see them suffer, Ying Yue reasoned, "B-but master, the beautiful life you see may not be beautiful in her eyes. Maybe Curie yearns for a life of cultivation and thinks it is better to follow master rather than stay cooped up in this clinic. By following master's journey, she can see the uniqueness of each world, which Yue knows she likes."
Releasing his cold gaze and considering Curie's perspective, Tian Xing nodded, "True, the beautiful life I see might be different from her own."
After thinking for a bit, he decided, "Okay then, how about this. Master will give her dreams of her simulated life with master and our big family from the infinite calculations of my daughter Ember. If she has any dissatisfaction, no matter how small, looking at this fate, I will not pursue the idea of her becoming a Serene Lotus Pavilion member. But if she has a positive reaction instead, then the next day we will simply greet her to say hi without discussing this topic. If Curie brings up the topic, we will tell her the truth about everything and give her the option to decide."
Heaving a sigh of relief, knowing her master did not think poorly of her reasoning, Ying Yue nodded and replied, "Yes, master. Let's do that."
So, waiting until midnight, when Curie was in a deep sleep and it was the perfect time to give her a dream, Tian Xing took all of the fate scenes he could calculate where Curie became his concubine to the farthest future he could reach. After condensing the Shen energy in his fingers, he sprinkled these golden dreams from atop the boat, with the dust swirling and entering Curie's mind. Tian Xing then saw her giggling nonstop in her sleep just seconds after receiving the simulated fate.
Releasing a heavy breath, already knowing the answer, Tian Xing chuckled bitterly over the complicated emotions he felt. His logical mind said it was okay to take her as a concubine since she seemed happy about it, but his emotional intuition was in turmoil, not wanting her to experience the pain of heartache simply because he didn't want her to suffer.
Torn between these conflicting emotions for quite some time and with the new day already dawning, Tian Xing decided that the person in question should choose for herself, now currently daydreaming at her clinic desk, probably thinking about the fate that was given to her.
