Kapitel 46: Helping

After resting for a few minutes and arranging her luggage, she moved out of the room. The apartment was silent and well-furnished. After walking around for a while, she saw Declan at the dining table. The table was filled with different food, and Mia opened her mouth in surprise. "Did you prepare all of this?" she asked.

Declan stared at the table and sighed, "I wish I could. I can't cook anything. It was my housekeeper who prepared all this for you. I told her about you, and she believed we should have a welcome party. This..." He gestured at the food, "... is her welcome party food. What do you think?"

Mia smiled, "Wow, she outdid herself. Is she planning on overfeeding us?" The smile remained on her face.

"I think she is," Declan laughed.

Mia's smile faded, and she shook her head a bit. "It's a pity that I can't eat all of this. I'm on a diet."

"Diet?" Declan raised his brow.
