"I thought so too. For someone to invite me to their house like that, it must have been for ulterior motives, right? So I took him up on that offer and he texted me the address." 

"So you fell for it?" 

Kaito seemed to have a small smile plastered on his face, seeming to reminisce about the past, "I went to the address but he wasn't there. I called him and he said that he needed me to look after his cat for a day. All he needed was a catsitter and that's why he called me over." 

"It sounds like he tricked you into falling in love with him," This time, it was Zaelek who commented without holding back. 

"Even you think so too, don't you?" Kaito sighed as he continued, "But that wasn't it. Sometime later, I asked him to repay me for looking after his cat. I just wanted to have dinner with him." 

"Oh, you fell for his trap," Akira snickered under his breath.

"He stood me up."
