Kapitel 51: The Moving Metal
Ryuma opened his eyes. But all he could see was void and darkness. Ryuma's first instinct is to shout for others...
"Hey! Are all of you okay?! Rio....! Kiyo....! Mika....! Where are you?!!" The effort was useless. It seems like nobody's here to answer it.
While covered in darkness, Ryuma uses magic to light up the fire on his fingertip and burn the plank that was caught on his feet. The fire lit up the darkness briefly. It appears he was in a medium-sized room. It's not big or too small.
All the things in the room were either metal scrap or trash. Ryuma sees the doorway and walks out of the room. As Ryuma walks out, there's a long dark corridor waiting for him. The sweat on his head dropped as he gulped some of his saliva before he took a step in it.
Ryuma walked in a long corridor. He noticed the crack in the wall as he passed by it. But he couldn't see... that something else was watching from behind that crack. At the end of the corridor, he stumbles upon a big room.
The big pile of metal scrap has been piled up in a few huge hills. At the same time, Ryuma noticed something running among the pile of metal scrap. Also, the fire from the plank has been spread on his hand and he threw it on the ground.
The fire spread to the pile of metal scrap thus making it grow bigger. Too big that Ryuma couldn't see from smoke burning the trash.
"*Cough* I should get out of here before the fire spreads further..." As Ryuma said that, a shining red eye emanated from the fire. Ryuma noticed it a second too late before it pounced on him. It resembles a person except it's made of metal and it's a scary appearance.
"What... What the fuck is this?!" The person choking Ryuma as he sits on top of him. The smoke plus the person choking him makes him unable to breathe.
From the other point of view, the person hung up holding a metal bar. Behind him is a huge hole that'll probably lead to where Ryuma was. But the person decided to climb back up from the hole.
"Fuuuuuck, that was close. If I didn't notice the metal bar, I would've fallen to you know where..." It was Rio, sighing as he climbed. As he climbed, he noticed the iron door in front of him. He looked the opposite way from where the door was and noticed it was an iron bridge that was broken. Rio tried to open the door thinking it bulged but...
"Huh? The door is opening..." At the same time, Rio was hearing something. He turned around and there was a drone flying. At that moment Rio noticed if he doesn't get moved on he will probably get done for in a spot. The drone's front part is getting redder as it launches missiles toward Rio.
"Accho! Uh... This place is really cold..."
"I know that Mika. Bear with it until we can find a way to go up again. If we're lucky we can find any flammable stuff scattered around here." Said Kiyo while rummaging through the bunch of scrap metal.
"Anyway, do you remember our mission, Mika? Or are you already forgotten about it?"
"Of course, I remember! It's about stealing enemies' flags right?!"
"Yes, but the flow we're going at right now, there's no way we could find that flag easily. Plus with how big this place is- OUCH!!!" As Kiyo rummaged through the stuff, something bitten his hand from inside the pile of scrap.
As Kiyo got his hand out it was already too late. Something has bitten off three of his fingers. And a lot of blood spilling the floor before he knows it. The thing that's bitten off Kiyo's finger slowly comes out from the pile of scrap metal.
It has four legs. Resembles a dog. Maybe a tiger. But one detail leaves Kiyo with an obvious answer.
"Whatever that is... It's definitely not a life form." Before they knew it, Kiyo and Mika were already surrounded by a bunch of them.
"From Ryuma's point of view, he grabbed that person's chin and threw it to the side. By instinct, Ryuma rips some part of his clothes and wet it with magic. He put the wet cloth on his nose in order to breathe inside the smoke.
Even though he couldn't see well, he knew... That person isn't alone. He sees a dozen pairs of red eyes watching him from the pile of metal scrap. At the same time, the whole place has been sprinkled with the water. Immediately put out the fire in the room.
Soon after, the bright screen flashes Ryuma's eyes. It was a giant-sized screen behind the pile of scrap metal. And there was Rudy, behind the screen.
"Test, test. Can you hear me?~" As much Ryuma wanted to answer him, he probably couldn't hear him.
"So... I see that some of you have countered some of my Creation. Some of you might never seen them before but some call them robots. Some might call it animatronic. But I rather call them Battlebot. Since they can be mass-produced I decided to send some of them down there."
Before Ryuma knows it, the battlebot has already surrounded him. The same can be said to Rio where he's been cornered by the drone. And Kiyo and Mika who's surrounded by dog-like battlebot.
"Now, now. They're not really perfect so they might be weaker than the normal one. Also, I do this to test all of you. If you're able to reach the top floor of this building and get your hand on this flag."
Said Rudy as he showed his blue flag.
"So... Yeah! That's all I just wanna say. I know, surely you all can't defeat this weak ass bot, right?~" The smug smile can be seen from Rudy's face. The bots surrounding them have begun to attack.
But Rudy who's watching from the other side didn't expect it... Ryuma skillfully dodged and countered all of them. Rio on the other hand, jumped from wall to wall in order to reach the drone. And cut all of them in half. As for Kiyo and Mika, their strategy by wait in the room and kill them one by one as they come to the door.
"I don't know if you can hear this Rudy. But you definitely underestimate us. Really... But I wanna you to hear this buddy. Nobody might not believe us but we have gone through several wars. We all, have gone through the battlefield. So the next time you're gonna send someone. Send your strongest one. Because all of these bastards can't satisfy me." Said Ryuma showing a middle finger on the screen.
