Kapitel 64: The Illusion
Without hesitation, Eden uses a wind slash through the wall in order to slash both Kiyo and Mika in one go. But the slashes were blocked by Kiyo's sword. At that moment, Kiyo gave Mika a sign.
"Now!" Following the order from Kiyo, Mika pushed the button on the small box while throwing it into the middle of the room and then closed his ears.
"Take this, Loudy Boxy!!!" The box released a very loud sound that's been affecting everyone's eardrum. Even Eden who's in the other room. At the same time, Kiyo is using Fingshot and aiming at Eden through the wall. The iron ball pierced through the first wall, then the second wall, to Eden's torso.
The iron ball didn't hit the vital part of Eden's body as he was still standing even after being hit. Kiyo shot the second iron ball but Eden managed to block it with his spear.
"It's not fair that you shot me while I was distracted," Eden said as he swung his spear. Destroying every wall that's between him and Kiyo. But when the wall was destroyed, Kiyo ambushed him from among the pile of broken walls and dust.
"Now we meet eye to eye!" Kiyo with two big swords in each hand, was clashing on Eden's spear. Kiyo uses this opportunity to kick Eden in the stomach. Seeing Eden was in the distance against Kiyo, he pointed the spear towards Kiyo.
From Kiyo's view, he saw that the spear had somehow become closer to Kiyo's eyes. Despite the Eden is not moving at all. Kiyo evaded the spear and was ready to swing his sword in order to finish Eden. But what happened next is something Kiyo will never expect at all.
The sword did not reach Eden. And before Kiyo knew it, he was standing far from Eden. Kiyo was confused as to what just happened. And then he looked over the room. The green powder lingers around the room as it confirms that it comes from the Hawk.
"That Hawk again..."
"Yes, as you were inside the powder's range, it gave you an illusion, blocked your perception, and most of it, you can't feel pain." Before Kiyo realized what Eden meant by that, he noticed a blood drop on his feet. He then looked at his hand and saw blood on it.
At that time he realized he'd been stabbed in the kidney. Knowing that, he blocks the blood from coming out and uses a Fingshot against him.
"Well well, what happened to that confidence from before?!" Eden dodged the bullet and swung his spear and almost cut Kiyo in the neck. Despite not moving at all, it seems Eden can extend his spear as he's not moving an inch from the spot he's standing at all. But is it really the case? Because Kiyo had this weird feeling in his mind.
("Can he really extend his spear? The spear gives a weird shape as it extends. My eyes might be playing with me inside this powder. The worst part is I can't tell his exact locations because my perception was blocked.")
At that moment, he felt the ground vibrate vividly from his foot. As if someone was stepping a foot behind him. But the powder makes him not being able to see it as if they were invisible. He's ready to swing his sword in that direction. That's what he thought in mind but instead, Kiyo decided to kick him out of the room.
The kick landed on the invisible presence. And as Kiyo thought, it was Mika who was running to him. Kicked by Kiyo, Mika was angry as he screamed his lungs out.
"Hey, what the hell are you doing!" But their eyes didn't meet. Perhaps Mika turns invisible to him again. Kiyo couldn't hear what Mika said but he heard his voice vividly.
"Don't come in here Mika! I don't know if you can hear this, but this powder can make an illusion as you step inside it. If you're going inside this room right now, you're only dancing right in his palms since we both can't see each other!" At that moment, Mika pointed at what was at Kiyo's back in panic.
Kiyo turned back and saw Eden were already behind him as they clashed against each other. As Kiyo was in the corner, he decided to blow off the whole room with the wind. But it seems ineffective as the powder keeps piling up.
("I need to find the Hawks first in order to get rid of him asap. Or this guy will kill me before I know it. But where...")At that moment, Kiyo could feel something hitting me from behind but it wasn't strong enough to harm him.
It was Mika, pointing to the lamp in the room. He changed its pointing to the above the desk. And then to the corner of the room. Kiyo immediately understood what was he's pointing to him.
But at the same time, Kiyo was too distracted by Mika that he forgot about Eden who was attacking behind him. Kiyo tried to fend him off by kicking him but he disappeared in the air as soon as he was kicked him.
But Eden did not give a breath to Kiyo as he sent his snake over to bite him from behind on the shoulder.
Fufu, the more poison you get from him, the weaker you get. Lavisen Snake is a predator that sends a disease after its prey. You can feel you're coughing, feeling vomit, feeling sleepy. But don't worry, I'll make your death painless. And I'm going to do the same for the other guy."
From Eden's perspective, Kiyo might looked like he was falling into despair as he had his head down. But sooner, when Eden was about to finish Kiyo off. The spear was blocked, and he stabbed in the throat.
"Like I thought, you couldn't see me, right? The Hawk's powder can make an illusion for its prey. Basically anyone inside this powder." Kiyo dropped something in front of Eden as Eden was holding his throat in order to block the blood from going out. It was the snake's head.
