Kapitel 48: The Handicap
Ryuma, Mika, and Rudy were walking in the corridor's school. Their destination was unknown because Rudy hadn't said anything about it. As they were walking together, the first one to break the silence was Mika.
"So, where are you going to take us?"
"You'll know later. By the way, what do you think of these?" Rudy pointed at his goggles or what he called VisionaireX5000. Ryuma answer...
"That goggle? I heard it has quite a function. What's about it?" Rudy smirk.
"So, I wanna ask you, are you interested in my 'Creation'?" 'Creation' is the one word Rudy used to describe his gadget. Since he had looked at it at a very high value in it. But Ryuma answered...
"No? I never knew what is this thing you called Creation." Rudy let out a silent laugh. Though Ryuma and Mika can hear it.
"So, you're not interested in my Creation because you don't know anything about it huh? Very well! I Rodion O' Welson, will change your perspective very soon!" At the same time, Rudy stops in front of the door.
"Is this the place?" Ryuma questions Rudy. But Rudy didn't answer it. Instead, he pushed the door hard the sound echoed around the hallway. Rudy comes into the room. The two follow through.
As they got into the room, Ryuma and Mika saw a table with a white cloth on it. But the thing Rudy wanna show isn't on the table but under the white cloth. Rudy pulls the cloth, and behind the cloth lies what he calls a Creation.
"Ta-da~ Look look! What do you think of my Creation?" Ryuma's expression was indifferent but Mika's expression looked like he was deeply interested in it with his eyes shining.
"Now, now! Don't just only look at it. You may touch it at your will!" Mika immediately touched one of Rudy's creations.
"Hey, hey! What's this?"
"That's an UltraFlash! It will shine everything in its path!"
"What is this?!"
"That's the sticky bomb! It will cover an area with a sticky liquid!"
"And what is this- Ahh!"
"That's Laser blade! You push that button a laser will come out in the form of a sword!"
Mika left a barrage of questions to Rudy but he happily answered them as that's the whole reason he brought them in. Rudy looked at Ryuma but he was only standing beside Mika. Only glancing at his Creation.
"Now, now Ryuma! Why don't you test some of them too?!"
"Nope, I'm good." (" This is suspicious. He isn't just letting us touch his gadget without a price is it?") At the same time, Mika called for Ryuma.
"Hey Ryuma, look at this gauntlet! It looks cool, isn't it?!" Ryuma remains expressionless.
"Look at these Shoes Ryuma! There are shining lines on it!" Ryuma still remains expressionless but still staring at it hard.
"And look at this! This mask reminds me of the Superhero cartoon we watch back in our homeland!" Ryuma staring at it really hard. A flowing sweat can be spotted on his head. It might seem like he isn't interested in any of it but...
"*Gulp*"
"Oh~ What's this, what's this?~" Rudy has been looking at him from behind the entire time. He knew deep down, that he was really interested in his Creation.
"Don't worry about it~ Anyone might look like they didn't care about it at first. But the more they look at it the more they want to test it out you know?~" Ryuma's feeling was about to explode apart. A few seconds later, he finally moved.
A loud sound echoes through the room. Mika looked at the sound's source. And he looked Ryuma slapped his cheeks, both cheeks with both hands.
("Almost let loose there Ryuma!") Ryuma looked in Rudy's direction and walked closer to him.
"To be honest, I'm interested in another thing. About your goggles." The words from Ryuma make Rudy take a step back.
"Hahaha, my Visionaire is a different thing. It's not a thing for other people to touch-" Ryuma jumped on Rudy as he tried to grab the Visionaire.
"Hey, hey! Let go of me brat! This Creation is precious to me!"
"I'm pissed that you called me a brat. And aren't we both friends? Does it hurt to show us your goggles?!" They both roll over the floor for the Visionaire. After the struggle, Ryuma was on the top. Pinning Rudy from getting away.
As Ryuma tried to pull the Visionaire away from Rudy, a hand grabbed his shoulder.
"I'm sorry, but can you let him go please?" Hutogi Kamaru, standing behind him with an intimidating aura while holding his shoulder. Ryuma got a shiver from Hutogi holding his shoulder.
"Huto, Good timing!" Then another figure grabbed his other shoulder and threw him off to the wall.
"Don't you dare fucking disrespect Boss! You bastard!" Ryuma's head went dizzy because he hit his head from the impact. As soon as he regained the conscious, he felt a sharp object in his throat from the side.
"We're coming here because the leader called us. Is this a case of emergency?" And there's another guy holding a spear and pointing it towards Ryuma's throat.
"I don't know, but he showed disrespect towards Boss! He must be punished!" The figure who threw Ryuma to the wall. A giant girl was about 2 meters in height. Looked down on Ryuma.
"Now, now, now, Let's not just rush to the violence shall we?" Hutogi softly grabbed the guy's spear away from Ryuma.
"So, is this an ambush? Are we both going to get gang-up here?" Rudy got up and walked to Ryuma.
"No, I think you're misunderstanding here. The real plan is to call your entire team but I guess the other two aren't here. But the reason I called your team is to give a handicap."
"?, Handicap for what?"
"Handicap... For your team to fight against mine in the next match." Ryuma is silent.
"Handicap? Why is that?" A few seconds later, Ryuma opened his mouth.
"I hate to break it to you, but our team is absurdly powerful you know? Here, meet Eden Jang. The fastest spearman you've ever seen. You'll never see his attack. And meet Renko! The one girl from Onimaru Village! She dreamed of being the strongest Oni in the world. And I know she is! And lastly, meet Huto-"
"Hutogi Kamaru, the strongest swordsman in the world. Is that what you wanna say?" A familiar voice can be heard from a distance. It was Rio.
"Yeah, yeah the fastest, the strongest. Can you be more realistic? And there's Kiyo coming from the window. Ryuma smirked as he opened his mouth.
"Rudy, I think you underestimated my team. We personally do not care how strong your team is. But let me tell you this, we know that we can beat you. Because we are strong."
