Kapitel 97: Dangerous Existence
"It's as I thought, the doll he used in the previous match was just a camouflage to hide his real potential." Said Rudy as he watched the recording of the previous match on his tablet.
"It's transparent and quite hard to see, but when you focus on it, you can see the pink lines connected each other from each of the dolls. The same pink thread that Meryna used."
The recording shows that Derugo is in the robe, controlling the doll that attacks and defends on command.
"But he did nothing the entire time except for standing there. The real dollmaster behind those dolls was Meryna herself. It's a good tactic to trick their opponent. But that trick might not be working like before as everybody in this school knows it. But, that can't be said the same as those from the outside at least."
Rudy diverted his eyes to the side, which to Hutogi who was sitting beside him.
"What do you think Huto? Would you be able to defeat that dragon?" Question by Rudy, Hutogi's answer wasn't in an instant. Because it took over a minute for him to think of an answer to that question. Until he finally found his answer as he saw the certain something on the TV.
"It's... risky..." Rudy, after hearing an answer, smiled slightly as he slurped on the coffee.
"Hoh, rarely you ever said those words yourself."
"No, it's the first time I saw it. To think it does ever exist in this world..."
"You mean the purple dragon?"
"No, I didn't know about Purple Dragon until now, and the thing I'm probably afraid of is its Purple Fire..."
"Purple Fire huh... It's also the first time I've heard of it. It almost resembles the Violet Mist, but this is... More like the sight of Destruction..." Said Rudy as he stared into the Purple Fire on Derugo's hand.
"No, they both do work in similar ways. Violet Mist is a natural phenomenon that will eat away the soul of the Lifeform who was walking inside it. According to legend, Purple Fire is a dangerous existence that burns the properties of both physical and soul which completely erased the concept of authority and logic in this world."
"Heh~ I feel like you're exaggerating things up. If that kind of fire exists as you've said, that will make this guy a wanted criminal to the whole world." Even if Rudy is telling Purple Fire might not be as dangerous as he thought, he then realizes that Hutogi's hand is trembling. Seeing that all he does is to only watch the match.

"Yeah, I got this after I protected you from being hit by that fire."

After hearing Mika's answer, Rio fell silent with a worried and irritated look.
"The fact Mika can't heal his hand is because of the Purple Fire... If my hypothesis about this is right... Tch!" At that moment, Rio thought of ripping part of his clothes to wrap up Mika's wound but...
"Wait Rio, I brought my bandages." Mika has already prepared the emergency case that contains numerous pieces of medical equipment beforehand. Seeing the medical case, Rio sighed in relief.
"Good, now don't move." The sweat drops from Rio's head. Mostly because he's tired. Rio started to apply the medicine and then wrapped Mika's burned hand with the bandages. At that time, Rio just realized something unusual.
(What? The moment I touch the burned wound, I can't feel my mana flow on the tip of my finger. It's like the flow is being cut off.)
"Mika, I think I know what is the ability of Purple Fire..." Hearing the words from Rio, Mika started to feel nervous.
"There are two hypotheses I came up with. First, Purple Dragon and Purple Fire is a new type of species which just born in this world. The other one is... The existence of Purple Dragon and Purple Fire was too dangerous they're exiled from this world."

After learning the answer, Mika's mind clicked as he looked at his bandaged hand.
"What if more of our body parts were to be hit by that fire?! The arm, legs, torso, even our head. The instinct of my fear was right... If we were to be killed by that fire... Even inside this Deathless World, Derugo has the ability to erase the concept of Life and Death... Which means we'll be reduced to nothing. Including our existence..."
Erasing one existence, the words Rio was mostly afraid of based on his instinct. They are both silent for a while after that. Silent surrounded them until Mika spoke...
"Then, is it better if we both surrender right now? If we let the teacher know-"
Mika hasn't finished his words yet, but the powerful impact destroyed the environment beside them. Thankfully they were not hit by it, Rio on the other hand, couldn't believe what he had just seen. If nobody were able to witness this, they mostly would call him either crazy or a liar.
"FUCK!!! I WAS TOO DISTRACTED BY TEN I LOST THE SIGHT OF THOSE TWO!!!" Derugo, while flying in the sky, lifts the 5-story building with both of his hands. And then threw it to the ground.
The building used as a throwable weapon, almost hit Rio and Mika. But some small stones along with a storm of dust hit almost every body part if they didn't take cover on something.
"Looks like we aren't able to anyway. At this point, we'll either accept death or die trying..."
