Kapitel 77: Behind The Curtain
"I see the purple doll there. But are you sure it's not a trap?" Eden was cautious. Cautious the purple doll was leaning on the wall and had the light reveal its place. The first person to walk toward the doll was Hutogi but...
"I'll take the hit if anything-"
"LET TENKO GO TAKE IT!!!" Tenko rushes ahead to take the doll. Hutogi tried to stop it but it was too late.
"Hey! Stop it!" Tenko had her hands on the doll. And for what happened next...
"GAAAAAHHHH!!!" Eden screamed his lungs out. Ying De and Le Baise hide inside Eden's clothes at the same time. Hutogi and Tenko turn their heads to Eden as they hear him scream. And saw that he was surrounded by some kind of ghost.
But it was no ghost. It's just the props in a haunted house that was used to scare the visitor.
"Why me..." Eden's heart was beating fast as he held it on his chest. Hutogi went over and tried to get Eden up.
"You okay?"
"Yes, I'm fine... It was loud I don't like it..."
...
A few minutes passed as the trio went into the haunted house. Nothing came up except the props used to scare people. After a while, the corner of Tenko's eyes caught sight of an Indigo doll. As soon she saw it she rushed over to the doll.
"Tenko, don't!" Hutogi tried to stop Tenko, but it was late. Once Tenko picks up the doll, the consequences go to certain someone.
"AAAAHHH!!!" Once again, Eden's scream made Hutogi turn his back. And saw his comrade, Eden almost pierced by many spears. At least many enough to cover his whole body. Fortunately, none of Eden's body was harmed by the spear. Hutogi saw Eden who was stuck between spears tried to get him out.
"D-Don't move, I'll try to get you out..."
1 minute later...
"Oh! What's this button do?"
"AHHHH!!!"
"Eden! Are you okay? Are you wounded anywhere?!"
56 seconds later...
"Ah, Tenko broke the door..."
"HELP ME!!! I WAS SURROUNDED BY BUGS!!!"
"Hold on, I'll peel them off you..."
The consecutive off anything Tenko does goes towards Eden. And Hutogi helped him afterward. After a while, Eden's clothes were damaged all over causing Tenko's misbehavior.
"I don't know if I'll be able to live for another minute or so..."
"Don't mind about it~ Tenko is sorry ok? And now we found 3 of the dolls."
"I don't understand why the trap doesn't go to you but to me instead... If that's the case I might as well go to the front and take the hit-"
"Eden, wait!" Eden has his hand on the doorknob. Hutogi tried to stop him from doing anything recklessly.
"Worry not Huto, it's not like anything is gonna go to me when I'm at the front am I right?" Eden opens the door. What lies beneath the door was the two figures who had their eyes on the computer's screen. And there's a lot of it.
"Wha-"
"Huh?"
"Hah?"
"These two are..." Derugo and Alex. They both were part of Ten's group. As seconds passed by, they all were staring at each other. The first one to break the silence was Hutogi, as he looked around the room.
"Is this a security room perhaps?" Hutogi looked at the few monitors inside the room. It seems the monitor was connected to the surveillance camera inside the haunted house. As Hutogi has his eyes on the computer, Derugo and Alex take a step back.
"Hey hey, you should've known that camera was connected to the outside of our room."
"I-I'm sorry I don't know how surveillance camera works..." As they both walked back while whispering to each other, Hutogi unsheathed his sword and threw the sword between the two of them.
"Don't move, we'll have you tell you about your leader's whereabouts."
"W-We won't tell you anything..." Alex answered Hutogi with a really low voice. Then, Tenko follows through by giving them intimidating looks and walking to Alex and Derugo.
"Oi, you little shit is there only two of you here?~ In that case tell Tenko where the rest of your groups are, BEFORE TENKO BASH YOUR SMALL HEAD WITH THESE FIST!!!"
"Eeek!" Alex shriek. Meanwhile, Derugo who's still in his robe hides his face from Tenko.
"Oi, why're you hiding your face huh?" Tenko tried to pull Derugo's robe but then somebody got in her way. As if they were never there, somebody has come from the gap of the black curtain that's placed behind Derugo and Alex.
It shows its hand with the handgun, the M9. Its barrel was pointed exactly to Tenko's forehead. As the fingers were about to pull the triggers, a voice came from the gap of the curtain.
"Perfect, this is perfect." The trigger is pulled. The M9 has released two bullets from its magazine. A direct shot to Tenko's forehead. Tenko who receives the direct shots, falls over to the ground.
Feeling wary of someone behind the curtain, Hutogi and Eden have their guard up. Second later, somebody shows himself from behind the curtain. Kochigawa Tennisuke, holding the M9 in his hand while stares at Tenko's body.
"It's not over yet." Ten pointed the gun at Tenko's corpse and shot her a couple of times in the head. After wasting all the bullets in the magazine, Ten orders Alex.
"Alex, prepare for Plan B." Hutogi seeing that Ten's eyes weren't on him, decided to attack Ten by charging at him from the distance. The sound of metal clashing echoed loud. Ten, blocked Hutogi's sword with the machete in his hand.
"Logically, this place is not the best place to defeat you all. The Eagle has spread the dust. And the Oni is playing dead, trying to launch a surprise attack." Yes, what Ten just said is correct. Lu Baise has spread her dust across the room. And Ten looked at Tenko's dead body again. And see her eyes opening.
("He figured out?!")
"Seeing we might be at a disadvantage, we chose to escape from here. But surely, our power can defeat your group as we get to breathe fresh air." As Ten was speaking, Alex pushed the button from his pocket. And the black curtain behind them exploded.
