"It is time," I said as the formation died down.

The clocking is finished; now, even if the world focused all its power on me, it wouldn't be able to discover me.

I once reminded myself not to use too much power; I could not afford to damage the world. 

I need its core to power the gate. It is the only thing that could power it, and if I damage it further, it will take centuries or even millennia to heal the damage.

I do not have that much, I need to get out of here as soon as possible, and it won't be a problem as long as I control myself.

I got up and felt my legs shake; it had been a millennium since I walked. The injuries have made that impossible.

The chair disappeared inside storage. It is my most precious artifact; without it, I wouldn't have been able to heal fully.
