Sooner or later, Menis would deplete its power reserves, causing the power of its bombardment explosions to weaken as its accumulated energy ran out. Daniel knew he needed at least one of the Godslayer Cannons in position as quickly as possible to ensure a reliable way to deal with any powerful demons that might emerge from the gate.

On the screen, high-ranking demons began appearing, including an Archfiend that managed to survive the orbital bombardment. The towering demon advanced toward the defensive formation, but it was immediately met with a concentrated barrage of plasma fire from thousands of SD-700 series units deployed on the battlefield.

The plasma bolts relentlessly tore into its body before a barrage of missiles from a bipedal mech finished it off, obliterating the upper half of its hulking body.

It's worth noting that an Archfiend is a high-ranking demon, not something easily brought down by conventional weapons.
