“Maybe, wouldn’t be the first time someone accused me of being so.”
Kol’s eyes were yellow, his teeth still too big for his mouth, but he took a deep breath and nodded at Eli. “If you want to see him, you have to do it now because a transfer team is on their way.”
Eli stood, a knot the size of a football lodged in his gut. “Okay, let’s go.”

Kol bit his lips to force his teeth back to normal size. He shook his hands to rid them of claws, but no matter how he tried, he couldn’t get his eyes to shift back. Elijah squeezed his arm. “It’s okay. Give me two minutes.”
“I’ll kill him if he says anything I don’t like.”
Elijah snorted. “Then it’s a miracle he’s still alive. Most of what he says are things no one likes.”
With a deep breath, Kol opened the interrogation room. Varg was cuffed to the table, and the room was warded so no magic could be used. “Varg.” He nodded and allowed Elijah to enter.
