Kapitel 8: Chapter 8
In a room, you can see a young man laying down on a hospital bed, showing signs of waking up. There's only him and another person, a small old lady, in the room.
* Azure Pov *
"Uuuuuuuuuugggggg" I start groaning as soon as I wake up. I feel like I haven't eaten in 2 months. Sitting up, I take the chance to look around, and I see Recovery Girl sitting at her desk typing away.
"So, you've woken up. Those were quite the nasty burns you had. You're lucky that my quirk worked on you, seeing as those flames of yours healed you up perfectly. " Said Recovery Girl without looking away from her computer.
"If I'm here, I assume All Might defeated that ugly monster?"
"Yes, both you and your classmates were saved. Only you and Midoriya were injured and needed my help."
Hopping out of bed, I test my body and confirm that, besides feeling starving, nothing else is wrong and I'm all healed up. As I was walking towards the door, I was stopped by Recovery Girl.
"Where are you going? Take these sweets to help your energy levels. "
After saying this, she grabs a newspaper off her desk and walks over to hand me some sweets. Then she uses that newspaper to smack me over the head. "Stop getting hurt, Midoriya, and you are going to take a lot out of me."
"Thanks, Recovery Girl." After saying that and eating the sweets, I left towards the entrance to grab some food. Before I could leave, I heard an announcement. "Dante, please come to the conference room."
Going towards the conference room and opening the door, I see Nezu, Midnight, Snipe, Vlad King, and a small blond man all sitting in chairs around a table, and a police officer giving reports about the USJ events and talking about that bird monster.
"Ah, Dante, welcome. We wanted your side of the story," Nezu said with a deceptive smile.
Complying I tell the story from my perspective. "You've probably already heard of this, but we arrived, and while hero 13 was talking, a warp villain arrived and teleported a bunch of villains to the dome. I rushed into battle and fought some villains, then Aizawa arrived and told me he could handle the small level villains and that I should help my classmates. I then ran to the top of the staircase and asked for help from my classmates to break the suppressor so I could help in full power. After I got rid of it, I helped my classmates. When trying to face the bird monster, I got defeated by it and used a newly developed special move of mine to kill it."
"Thank you, Dante. This is the same as our information. And since you've saved your classmates, you've proved that you won't be a liability, so the suppressors are not needed. "
"Vigilantes are always messing things up." muttered the police officer.
"What?" I asked.
"I said, You vigilantes are always messing things up. You break things, hurt, injure, and kill, all for this justice of yours. You are nothing more than law-breaking criminals! " The police officer yelled.
"I don't know about you, but when you look, I've saved just as much as a couple of low-ranking heroes combined. I've said this before, but my goal is to save people. I don't care what you call me, whether a hero, a villain or a vigilante. In my opinion, all of these things are simply titles that people bestow upon each other. I am Dante or Azure. Those are the titles that I acknowledge. I'm only here because I realized that having the title of a vigilante and saving people is troublesome since heroes and villains are hunting me. I'm only here to get my license to save people so I can do it freely. "
With that said, I walked out of the room.
The next day, we saw Aizawa in the class, and he explained that the UA Sports Festival is coming soon and that we need to prepare.
Then, when leaving the classroom, there was a crowd of people around us, probably because the news of us facing villains in the U.S.J was spread.
After Boom Boom provoked the crowd, some purple-haired person started talking about how he was going to transfer into Class 1a and that he was making a declaration of war.
"Hey, instead of talking, show us. This declaration means nothing if you can't make it true. However, if you do, then the villains will have something else to be scared of. "
With that, I walked outside, thinking about how the festival would go. I plan to get the first place so I can give a speech to remind the villains that I'm still here and that they can't run rampant.
*1A Sports Festival Room*
We're sitting here waiting for the announcement to let us go, and tensions are high. I was dozing off while waiting, and I perked up after hearing my name.
"-I'm going to defeat you, and Dante, even though you're strong, I'll still win." Mr. Ice said.
"If you think you can win by half-trying it here, you're mistaken. If you can get a match with me, I'll beat you even if you don't go full power."
With that, Class 1a was announced. When walking to the field, we were called in a very dramatic way. Next up, in Class 1b, the general courses, support courses, and business courses were called in all at once.
Then, Boom Boom walked up to the podium and announced that he would win. Shaking my head, I thought, 'That arrogance will be his downfall. '
It was announced that we would be doing an obstacle course.
"Three!" everyone shouted.

"One"
*Buzz*
Then everyone rushed off towards the tunnel. Not even 15 seconds later, I saw and felt ice crawling along the walls, roof, and floor.
"WHAT Dante Tanaka is not moving from his spot, what kind of GAME is he trying to play?" Screamed President Mic.
"It's useless. I'll pass anyway. But please know this is not arrogance but confidence. " Yelling that last part, I then turned around to face the screen.
"You heard it, you all. That's Class 1A's supposed strongest student, Dante Tanaka-Quirk: Phoenix's Ember. "
Not paying attention to him I watch the screen in amusement at how the rising heroes combat the events. Some excel due to their quirks on a specific event, such as Asui on the rope, or Todoroki on all of them due to his versatility, while others excel due to their intelligence, such as a pink-haired girl who crafted an invention, or Midoriya with that broken piece of a robot.
Then, when I saw my classmates arrive at the final challenge, I decided to start going since if I went at a high speed, I could come in 20th place.
"WOW, look at Dante Tanaka deciding to go. Can he catch up? Were the words he said true or mere arrogance?"
Partial Transforming my body, I gather my flames on my wings and fly off.
"Look, he's flying at an insane speed. He's already passed the tunnel in 3 seconds. If he keeps this pace, he could get into the ranking."
Ignoring the distant sounds of President Mic, I keep on flying and increase my speed, achieving 30mph casually, the heat of my flames melting the residual ice left. I spot the second obstacle within 10 seconds, but I just fly over it, and then I spot the final obstacle, but I just fly over it again.
'Man, if Bakugo just flew with his quirk, he could have placed first, but instead, he chose to fight. This proves what I said about his arrogance. ' Concluding my thoughts, I spot Mina, Koda, and Jiro running towards the finish line. Flying over them, I then turned off my quirk, landing in 19th place.
"WOW, Dante Tanaka, despite waiting in the arena for most of the course, he achieves 19th place. Just imagine how far the time between the first and second place would be if he started at the same time. "
Deciding that it's going to take a while for the rest to arrive, I walk over to the wall, bend one leg on the wall, and close my eyes.

I was woken up since I had to walk to the center since Midnight was explaining the contents of the next round. She explains that it's a team battle and that we need to get points to advance. She also announces that Midoriya has the most points.
We were then allowed to choose our teams, but since broccoli has the most points, he's ostracized.
Watching how not only other people who don't know him but people like Ojiro, Ida, and Bakugo also adopt this idea, their reason is even more baffling: they say that because he's their rival, they have to beat him. ' Only the weak and short-minded would do this. Even if he's your rival, there is still another round, plus since he's gotten 1st place, he has a strong and intellectual mind, plus he hasn't even used his quirk. '
Taking advantage of the situation, I approach Midoriya and Ochako, who is mumbling. "Hey Midoriya, Ochako, would you like to team up." While Midoriya is a mumbling mess, Ochako asked, "Hey Tanaka? I wanted to say this to you since the U.S.J, but you just flew off. Can you call me Uraraka and I'll call you Dante? "
"Sure,"
"I would enjoy being on your team, and so would Deku, right?" Uraraka said.
"Deku?" I asked.
"Yeah, Dante, that's what they call me, and you can do that too. I didn't think you would team up with me. This changes my whole plan. We can both attack and defend, not to mention that we have the best offense and a great self-healer. If so, we can-"
"Ok, Deku, let's get Tokoyami since he can also attack," I said.
When we got to our team and the counter concluded, everyone but a few select teams rushed over towards our corner, with me on top with the headband and Deku and Uraraka on the sides.
Deciding that I don't want to fight everyone, I cover my arms in flames and recreate one of Dabi's moves by simply shooting them forward, letting them burn whoever doesn't stop. Then I leap, and while in the air, I partially transform and fly through the sky.
"WHAT Aizawa Is that even allowed?"
"As long as he has the headband, he's fine."
By just flying in the air in a completely unexpected pattern, I dodge some long-range quirks, Momo tried to hit me with a pole but it went through me, Mineta threw a ball but I burned it, and Bakugo tried to fly up here, but by flying in a small circle, extremely fast, I create a flame ring, and so it's hard to tell where I am, and the speed makes the circle extremely hot.
Then there's a countdown, and when it ends, I fly down to the ground and, standing with my team, I see that we placed first.
"Oi, Oi, that's cheating, you bird bastard. Fight fairly."
"Boom Boom I just used my head. Since not many can attack and fly in the air, I just went on Deku's team and used the 10 million points to win by not fighting. Even if you call me a cheater, you could have done the same thing. Work smarter, not harder. " Then, leaving him, I walked to the break room to replenish my appetite and cool down.
As I'm walking back to the stadium after getting recharged, I see Bakugo crouching behind a corner. Walking up next to him, I overheard Todoroki talking about Endeavor to Midoriya. I decide I'll talk to him about it.
Seeing as he's walking towards the middle, I sprint to get to him, ignoring the surprised Bakugo and Midoriya. "Todoroki, Wait."
"What Tanaka?"
"Dante Please, I have something to say to you since I heard your conversation. 1. You're not him, so don't feel like you and him are the same person. 2. Do you feel like he is scum-like a villain? If so, do you think he should die? "
Leaving Todoroki to ponder the questions, I walk towards the stadium. I think, 'Despite how I feel about this guy and even though I've killed corrupt heroes if the supposed victim doesn't even feel like their victims, then I can't kill them. Besides, he has saved many, but this doesn't mean I can't threaten, and if they feel like he's a villain, then I won't hesitate to burn him to cinders. '
