Kapitel 14: Chapter 14- Neutrality, for now.
"I'm sure we can all come to an agreement. How about we discuss the terms a little?" Alex offered as he did not want any hostile relationship with either faction, as they could easily be taken out by assassins of either faction regardless of the protection offered. He knew that while he and some others related to their "technology" would be kept safe, the others didn't matter and would receive minimal protection. And when they discover that it's all a part of David's quirk, they would all be as good as dead.
"We can, but I don't think it's good for either of us. How about we fight for it and the winner gets the village?" Said the woman. "No, it's best we settle it with negotiations," Franky replied with a hint of nervousness in his eyes. "You? Refuse to battle me for something? And that look, you never had a good poker face. Is the rumored tech really that good?" The woman was intrigued and she started walking towards the settlement.
"Irene, wait!" Franky yelled, but it was too late. Irene crossed the defense border and the turrets started to fire. Irene summoned her water sharks again to block most hits as she let a couple graze her body, inflicting minor cuts. Then, however, her eyes opened in shock. While the effect was so minor on her it wasn't even visible, who was she? She was an elite soldier directly under the commander known as Ice Blade. She felt the effects of the turrets, the ice's sharpness, and the weakening of her quirk by the slightest amounts. She now knew why Franky didn't want to battle for it, simply settling this matter with a battle is far too risky.
"This... Is a lot more complicated than I thought it would be." Irene said while deep in her thoughts. "*Sigh* Now we're going to have to really battle for it... Why couldn't you have simply come an hour later?" Franky was frustrated as he knew that the significance of this place would not be kept a secret. "I'm going back to talk with Ice Blade, we need to keep it a secret from the others unless we want to start another all-out war," Irene said as rare worry was visible in her eyes. "At least we can agree on that," Franky said.
Irene turned to face Alex. "Mr.Alex, we're going to need some more time to debate this, so if you have any personal preferences over which side you wish to join, the time to say it is now as you will not have many chances after this," Irene informed Alex in a respectful tone. "...While I thank you for your offer, it's not our place to decide such matters" Alex replied after a little thought. "A wise choice," Irene replied with a small smile {Not in a mocking way though}.
"I need a break..." Alex mumbled to himself as he watched the duo leave with their men.

Sarah was a little worried. Her father returned home with a look of pure exhaustion. It was somewhat expected, as he was running the most important department in the colony, but it was never this bad. Even on the worst workdays, he still greeted them as he entered home, but today he didn't even do that. He just bearly walked in, swaying from side to side, and crashed on the sandy bed as he fell asleep instantly.

"What happened yesterday, Dad?" Sarah asked Alex as he woke up. "We had some elites from two Warlords visit us. They backed off for now, as they need to settle who will be taking over us." Alex dropped the bomb shell on her. "WAIT, WHAT?! WHO was here yesterday?!" Sarah freaked out. "Yeah, but I don't think anything will come out of it," Alex said.
"How can you even think that? There's going to be a full out war between factions for David's tools. Especially when he becomes older and his quirk matures." Sarah was trying to forcibly keep herself calm at the revelatioin. "That's what I thought as well, but then I realized it would be stupid of them to do so. If one faction acquires David's ability, especially when he'll get older, they will pose a huge threat to the other factions and then an alliance against them will form. Two sides already know of this, so whichever side loses will just spread the information. Basically, they will be forced to a stalemate, openly at least. I have no doubts that they will try to make secret deals with us, but since we can't really give them the info they want and they can't search or act against us openly, they will have no choice but to wait." Alex explained.
"Um... Can't they just wipe us out?" Sarah asked while thinking over her father's words. "No. They still think we can build a quirk eraser with only technology, so they won't risk burning us. They will try to sneak in and look for the blueprints or builder, but they both don't exist. David already set a detection tool so he would be able to work in peace, and I doubt the spy they will send have a quirk that counters that. Of course, there will be some guy with an X-ray or mind-reading quirk, but both will be needed at more pressing matters and by the time they arrive I think David would have grown enough to at least partially blook them." Alex continued.
"That still doesn't calm me down, but I don't really have a say in this, do I... *Sigh* I'll go check on David and tell him the news, I bet he'll have an interesting reaction." Sarah sighed as she went to visit David.

Hey guys, I have nothing to rant about today except the fact that I really want the quarantine to end so that I can get my license. I delayed it since I had no real use for it, but I'm going to the army or a volunteering program in about 8 months and I really want to get a license before that. I mean, it's not the end of the world, but it's rather inconvenient to do it later.
