Kapitel 33: Take me there

She turned around and wrapped her arms around him, hoping to melt his heart with her embrace. His body stiffened, the chill on his skin sent shivers down her spine, but she held on tight, determined to break through his cold exterior.

As she hugged him, she could feel his heart racing. Raymond bent his head slowly and looked at her, for the first time, he saw her as a beautiful woman, not just an emotionless entity.

His face remained expressionless, but his body betrayed him. He could feel the tension in his body.

Izabelle knew she was making progress, and held on a little longer, she looked up and then into his eyes, for a very short moment, she saw a glimmer of warmth in his eyes as he looked at her.

"Look, I picked seashells for you, she showed him."

"Why don't we go back now, it getting dark."

"Why, I still want to pick more." She protested but he already turned around while still holding her hands.
