Kapitel 88: A small win

Robbie's POV

Mr. Olsen's face lost its smile as well as its color on seeing Sarah. Once dad casually mentioned that the only person Mr. Olsen ever gave a f*ck about, was his daughter. It was not until I was in last year of college that I knew that Mr. Olsen was Sarah's dad. Dad wasn't sure why Mr. Olsen cared for her so much seeing as he had never loved or respected his wife, but could only guess it was because she was the only person alive who was truly his family with his blood running in her. I feel like I did a good job keeping that in mind as it was coming quiet handy now.

Before we set out for rescuing Tony, I went to pick Sarah, but it so happened that Sarah was not home. So, I called Joshua Taylor, who helped Sarah get Tony's pictures and spread rumours of Tony being Omega, to get Sarah to this location which I forwarded him. He was confused by this sudden request but since he was grateful to me for not firing him from job, he agreed. He asked his sister (who was Sarah's nanny) about Sarah's whereabouts. She happened to be at a club at that time which is why it took a little while for them to reach. Joshua appeared right after Sarah and on seeing me, he nodded in a short greeting.

While, Sarah was looking at Mr. Olsen and the area around in horror and asked urgently, "Daddy what's going on? Why are you handcuffed? Where are your...why are you dressed like that?"

Mr. Olsen looked at her, his expression indiscernable. He spoke trying to keep his voice even,

"It does not concern you, mermaid! You should return home. I will be back in a few days"

"What are you saying? How come it doesn't concern me? You are my father!!" she said, her voice constrained

"Mermaid, I told you, it's nothing important-" Mr. Olsen started in a slightly irritated voice when I interrupted

"Oh come on, Mr. Olsen, she as your daughter deserves to know what her father has been up to" I sneered

Sarah looked at me blankly while Mr. Olsen gritted his teeth and spoke in a low rumble, "Stay OUT of it"

I chuckled glaring at him, "Why? Did you keep my son out of it?" I said through gritted teeth

"Your son? Wha-What is going on?" Sarah asked looking from me to her father, questioningly

Mr. Olsen went completely silent, giving me a poisonous look. I narrowed my eyes, hatred oozing from it. I kept my eyes fixed on Mr. Olsen whose face was twisted in a very ugly expression.

"Oh you didn't know Sarah? Looks like your dad is also into Omega...to be specific, my Omega... Tony!" I spoke the words testily

"What? I-I am not getting you" Sarah said blinking a bit stupidly

Before I could say anything, Mr. Olsen spoke in a hurried voice as if trying to stop me from speaking further,

"Don't listen to him, Mermaid. He is just angry that I wanted him to leave that Omega and marry you, so he is spewing nonesense"

"Oh if Robbie's words are not trustworthy, then shall I say it? I am just an impartial third party, my words should be more trustworthy right?" Fred suddenly spoke, his eyes for the first time since hours showed signs of amusement.

Mr. Olsen gave him a vicious glare but Fred was just not the type to be scared of angry looks, afterall, he didn't even flinched when I almost attacked him on our very first 'civil' conversation in his dad's restaurant. He casually waved it off like Mr. Olsen's glare was nothing more than a fly bugging him and spoke in a malicious tone,

"Miss Sarah, I am Fred D'Souza, who came here along with this uncle (I grimaced, which he ignored) for a rescue mission. The rescue was of my close friend, Tony Hawker, who also happens to be Mr. Walker's partner and who your father abducted and tried to r*pe"

"LIES" hissed Mr. Olsen, taking a step forward but was obstructed by the officers.

"Oh is it now?" Fred said giving him a crooked smile, "Then, please go ahead and explain your daughter, as to why the cops have restrained you and why are you in such a sorry...uhm half naked state!"

Fred has a gift of getting on people's nerves. I could see Mr. Olsen almost looking murderous. If the cops had not been restricting him he might have strangled him. Fred shrugged nonchalantly and looked at Sarah again whose eyes were wide in disbelief.

"That's-that's not possible....my-my dad wouldn't-" Sarah took few steps back shaking her head, as if what she was seeing was just an illusion

I glared at her and spoke in a razor sharp voice, "So, you think we are playing a skit here? Look at that man, this is your father's true face-"

"NO!! Daddy loved my mother. He would never...why would he-" she said, with an air of disbelief and agitation. She looked at her dad and took few steps towards him, "Daddy, tell me it's all a lie"

Mr. Olsen remained silent. He was looking at the floor, his face hidden behind his voluminous hair. Sarah held Mr. Olsen's hand impatiently, "Dad, answer me. This is all not true...let go of him...why are you restricting him?" Sarah spoke trying to free his dad from the cops grip but the cops held on tightly

"Madam, please restrain yourself. Mr. Olsen is a suspect for second degree kidnapping and threat"

"No...lies...this is not true....this...this" Sarah's face contorted in a painful twisted expression, her eyes started watering as she looked at Mr. Olsen, who had gone on a mute mode.

Honestly, I felt a bit bad for Sarah. She had been kept in the dark all her life. Mr. Olsen created a bubble of perfect world for her, providing her with everything that she ever wanted and pampering her rotten. To keep that bubble of perfect world intact, he even lied about his profession (ofc not informing her about his illegal activities) and loving her mother. She neither knew that he in fact married Miss Charlotte as a revenge nor that her mother was actually an Omega.

"You-you- didn't you say that you never commit any wrong deed? That you have a clean record? Didn't you say that you never remarried because you didn't want to ruin mum's memories? Then, why would you lay hands on any other person and disrespect her?" Sarah screamed, making the cops around coming forward to pull her back but Joshua quickly blocked them.

Mr. Olsen didn't speak making Sarah rage even more, "Say something, Dad....at least SAY something!!"

"Take her" I instructed Joshua, seeing that Sarah was losing it.

Joshua quickly followed the orders and took her but it was no easy task as Sarah didn't wanted to go. She pushed him, threw him aside, yelled and cried creating a huge scene. I saw Fred looking at her without a slightest concern but maybe because I had been her friend, unintentionally, I felt bad. Her bubble was going to burst anyway but never did I thought it would be in such a manner.

"Did Ricardo tell you where I was?" Mr. Olsen spoke the moment Sarah was out of sight. To my surprise, I detected a faint tremble in his voice

"Not really. He only told us to track Amanda's cellphone" I replied, flatly.

"That cowardly son-of-a-b*tch!!" he growled, his voice shaking even more

I didn't know what was going on. Why did he suddenly asked this question or why he swear at dad but I didn't have the opportunity to think it through as I saw a familiar bronze skinned, bespectacled man with cold, calculative look on his face walking towards the cops who held Amanda. It was Mark Winters, my dad's lawyer. Was he here for my dad's case involvement?

Mr. Olsen too noticed him and chuckled shaking his head,

"That coward! He would always be such a damn coward!!"

"Well, you haven't done anything that can be categorised as brave either!" I spoke agitated by his repeatative words

Mr. Olsen gave me a weird smile, saying, "I am what I am and he didn't hesistated to reveal it in front of you but if you ever get the opportunity, then ask him if he is really who he shows to be" I creased my brow, blinking blankly. Mr. Olsen turned away his face, gesturing the cops to take him to the car. He gave me one last look before leaving with the words, "I wasn't the only one deceiving!"
