Kapitel 110: Last chance(chapter 110)

prevously in chapter 109

"Looks like HE was right about everything, but this whole place seems kinda empty, he is scary" Steve noted, as he looked around, " what do you expect from a guy who called himself the destined villain, or was it the taboo, but yeah, this whole is emptied up aside from few things" tony said as did a final scan. The cavern was silent once more, the air still except for the faint hum of technology and the quiet rustle of the mutated plants.

Chapter 110

"Area secure," Tony confirmed, scanning the cave one final time. "Good work, team. Let's wrap this up and head out before he comes," Captain America instructed, leading the Avengers back toward the surface.

As they emerged from the underground lair, Phil Coulson's voice came through the comms again, "Excellent job, Avengers. HE will be pleased to hear of your success. Return to base for debriefing, i will send down my team to collect anything interesting from there and send it to him, and looks like we finally know who has been taking those inhumans" phil finished after he found some inhuman blood.

-scene change-

After the Avengers departed, a team of SHIELD agents arrived at the underground hideout to collect evidence and secure Henry's cache of strange herbs and potions. They moved efficiently through the cavern, bagging samples of herbs and cataloging the various potions scattered across the alchemist's workbenches. The corpses of the seven Crows were placed into body bags, their extraordinary abilities no longer a threat but a subject of interest for further study.

As the agents went about their tasks, one of them, a young operative named Jamal, approached the edge of the pond. Intrigued by a peculiar flower blooming just above the water's surface, he reached out to pluck it. Suddenly, the surface of the pond erupted with a splash, and a large turtle's head emerged, snapping its jaws around Jamal's fingers.

"Jamal!" another agent shouted as he turned to see his colleague stumble back, clutching his bleeding hand. The turtle, now fully visible, was unlike any ordinary reptile. It was massive, with a shell glistening with an iridescent sheen and eyes that glinted with an unsettling intelligence.

The creature, Terry the Turtle, reared up, snapping its jaws loudly. "Get out of my pond!" he tried to communicate, but to the agents, it was nothing more than a series of aggressive snapping sounds.

"Damn, that is a big-ass turtle!" one of the agents exclaimed, scrambling back from the edge.

"My finger! That damn turtle bit off my finger!" Jamal yelled, his face pale as blood dripped from his hand. He pulled out his service weapon, aiming it shakily at Terry. But the turtle, despite its size, moved with surprising speed, darting out of the way just as Jamal pulled the trigger.

"What the hell kind of turtle runs that fast?" Jamal shouted in disbelief.

The situation quickly turned chaotic. "Hey, guys, Jamal is fighting a turtle, and he's losing!" another agent commented over the comms, drawing laughter from a few of the team members.

However, the humor was short-lived. Daisy Johnson's voice crackled through their earpieces, serious and urgent. "Agents, remember, Henry is an alchemist. Any pets of his are dangerous and need to be contained!"

Before Daisy could elaborate further, Terry leaped out of the pond with astonishing agility, his powerful jaws clamping around Jamal's head in a brutal, swift motion. The young agent didn't have time to scream before his body went limp and crumpled to the ground.

"Oh shit, Jamal is down! I repeat, Jamal is down!" another agent yelled, trying to take aim at Terry, but the turtle moved with a predator's cunning, zigzagging across the cavern floor to avoid the bullets.

Terry disappeared back into the shadows, using the terrain to his advantage. The agents, realizing the threat they faced, moved into defensive positions, scanning the darkness for any sign of movement.

"He's too fast," one agent muttered, keeping his back to the wall, his eyes darting around the cavern.

In a flash, Terry reappeared, lunging at the nearest agent. His jaws snapped shut around the man's torso, dragging him down with terrifying force. The agent screamed, but it was cut short as Terry's jaws crushed his ribcage with a sickening crunch.

Panic spread through the remaining team members. They opened fire, but Terry used the pond and its surroundings to vanish from sight, reemerging unpredictably to strike at their flanks.

The turtle's movements were both methodical and relentless. He would submerge into the pond, only to erupt from the water and attack from unexpected angles. The agents found themselves on the defensive, each encounter with Terry leaving them more disoriented and afraid.

Terry's next target was an agent who had taken cover behind a workbench. With a powerful leap, Terry cleared the distance, landing on the agent with enough force to knock the breath from his lungs. The agent tried to scramble away, but Terry clamped his jaws around the man's leg, dragging him back into the pond and finishing him off with a savage bite to the throat. Realizing the dire situation, the remaining agents called for backup, but Terry showed no signs of slowing. His next victim was caught as he tried to flee, Terry crashing into him from the side, crushing him against the metallic wall.

Desperation set in among the surviving agents as they realized that conventional methods were ineffective against this alchemical beast. Just as Terry prepared to charge again, a powerful, visible vibration filled the air. It struck Terry with the force of a hammer, sending him hurtling across the cavern and through a metal wall with a resounding crash.

Daisy Johnson had arrived. She assessed the chaotic scene before her, the devastation starkly visible in the dim lighting. "Fuck, fuck, I told you any pet of his is dangerous," Daisy muttered to herself. The guilt of the fallen agents weighed heavily on her, and she knew their deaths were partly her fault for not preparing them better for this encounter.

From the corner of her eye, she saw movement—Terry was getting up, remarkably unfazed by the impact. With a guttural roar, he lunged at Daisy, jaws snapping in a terrifying display of aggression.

A/N well, where are all the terry haters.
