A/N Well, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I am burned out from watching too much MCU. To the point where my head hurts just thinking about it. So, I will be taking a break from writing this fanfic. Fortunately for you guys, I have 20+ chapters in stock, so, the daily updates would continue, and you lucky bastards better hope the new Deadpool movie restores me back to full health.

Turning the liquid lightning essence into a solid pearl, Henry then took a deep breath as he activated his new skill. He held another small lightning essence in his hand and activated the skill, which caused a keyboard to appear in front of him. That's right, a keyboard. "Interesting," he smiled to himself as he started to type. What he wrote was [grant the ability to power machinery wirelessly] before he took a luck potion. He then clicked enter, causing the pearl to glow for a minute before it broke. "Hmm," he frowned as he tried again, and again, and again, until he finally got it. Floating in front of him was a pearl, a lightning pearl, which had the following status.

- Potion-Synthesis: You can synthesize two plants/materials by melting them together using mana, as long as the materials do not possess two opposing qualities. 50% chance of getting a 4th-grade potion, 20% chance of getting a 5th-grade potion, and 0.1% chance of getting a 6th-grade potion. Tier: 7 (84.3%)
- Alchemical Weapon: You can combine two or more materials to create a weapon which, depending on the materials used, would have different effects as long as you know how the weapon works. Cooldown: 2 hours. Tier: 5 (43.02%)
- State of Matter: You can permanently change the state of matter of the materials you create/synthesize, allowing you to turn solids into liquids and liquids into gas with a 25% chance of failure. Tier: 5 (2%)
- Essence Extraction: Extract the essence of matter, living beings, objects, or natural phenomena, capturing their unique qualities in liquid form. However, there's a 35% chance of failure, which may result in the loss of essence and the source. Tier: 3 (77.4%)
- Functions: You can assign a single inanimate object a single function as long as supplementary materials related to the function are also provided. There is an 80% chance of failure which will result in the destruction of both the item and the supplementary material. Cooldown: 10 minutes. Tier: 1 (1%) ]
That's right, the new skill he got allowed him to grant any item a single function, which is just a fancy way of saying granting a power to an item. He did this to the solidified liquid essence, granted that a supplementary material was required, but with the essence extraction skill in the mix, getting these supplementary materials was not an issue. "Too bad the failure chance is 80%, but nothing some leveling up shouldn't solve," he thought to himself as he looked around. "ARD-1," he called his favorite drone, which came to him. Unlike the other drones piloted by Kai, ARD-1 had its own little AI to pilot it. After ARD-1 arrived, Henry immediately modified it so that the pearl would fit . ARD-1 actually got upgraded to tier 4.

"Aren't you special," Henry petted the drone as he watched it walk around the hideout. Just like Henry, Terry the turtle did not like the drone for some reason. "Well, this changes a lot of things," Henry muttered to himself as he sat down in his workshop. On his side was the heavily modified hammer drone, which was nearly finished. "Hmm," he pondered something as he got up. He picked up the arc reactor that previously powered the drone. It was also modified by him, so he drank a luck potion and gave it a function, hoping that it wouldn't break and require him to make another. Thankfully, it didn't fail.

[ Description: The Modified Arc Reactor, originally created by Ivan Vanko and further enhanced by Henry, is a highly efficient energy source. This advanced reactor is capable of generating immense amounts of power and has been meticulously upgraded to maximize its efficiency and output. ]

"Hmm," he hummed for the tenth time as he picked up a lightning source, pouring it on the arc reactor, expecting it to absorb it, which it did. "Alright." His immediate thought was to arm this thing to self-destruct the moment someone else got a hold of it, which was to be expected. In the case of his potions, people could drink them and get the same effect temporarily, but they couldn't make them and get the same effect, and they were consumable. But this was different. This wasn't consumable; people could steal it and use it against him. "Looks like I'll design everything to explode into chunks," he sighed. Although they couldn't make it, they could still use it until it deteriorated, which was unacceptable to him.
"In any case, too bad some of the effects on the item disappear when it's given a function," he sighed as he noticed that some of the effects disappeared the moment he gave an item its function. "But the trade-off is good," he muttered to himself as he looked at the monitors, which had several sketches of items and things he needed to make. "Looks like I'll need to use the essence extraction a lot," he finally finished the hammer droid suit, which was now a brand-new creation.

A/N So yeah, this is the most overpowered skill I have for Henry. In fact, it's so overpowered that I'm currently writing a fanfic with a system based solely on this skill. And yes, functions are permanent, but he will not be making potions with functions. I know you might think that, so don't. The next skill will make his pills and elixirs permanent. I created this skill specifically for artifacts. In fact, I have a whole Google Slide titled "Artifact," full of items with functions.
PS: Since I'm burned out from the MCU, I'm watching Arcane, which currently feels like the MCU of the function world, and I'm having fun. And of course, Jinx is my favorite character, just like Harley was in Suicide Squad. Maybe I have a thing for crazy women, but who doesn't?
PS: The only flaw of this skill is that it's a resource burner, due to its high failure rate. which is why he will only be using it when he consumes luck potions.
