Kapitel 16: Lady Death

Idris. POV.

I was chilling watching TV. A week has past since Fury invited himself into my apartment. One. Long. Fucking. Week. SpongeBob was on. Ain't nothing much happen. Neena's been busting my balls over this mission. She needs to relax a little.

"idris." I heard Neena yell from the kitchen.

"Yes, Lady Death?" I asked from over shoulder keeping my eyes on the TV. This SpongeBob shit was good stuff.

"Can you pick up some milk?" I heard some cabinets closing and some dishes being put away.

"I was just out, an hour ago. Why didn't you ask for it then?" I then looked over at her, seeing her pace around the kitchen.

"I didn't know we needed any till now." She stopped pacing then look at me. "So?" fuck me and those mismatched eyes of hers. I sighed and shut off the TV.

"Yeah. Whatever." I huffed and went to the door. "Don't burn the house down or some shit."

"Im a trained killer, you think I don't know how to cook?" I shrugged.

"You'd be surprised." I said to her as I opened the door. Expecting a hallway leading to an elevator. I was met with a brunette woman who had a serious frowning problem. "Um?"

"Agent Hill, with shield." She flashed a badge and pushed me aside.

"Please come in." I closed the door sighing. "Make yourself at home." I rubbed my face.

"Funny." She remarked while pulling out a device and started to scan the room.

"Who the hell ae you?" "The fuck are you doing?" Neena and I said at the exact same time.

"Checking for bugs." She said unfazed.

"While you doing that make sure you grab any Fury left over from when he was here." Neena was walking over with a gun behind her back. I just shook my head. She gave a look saying, 'are you fucking serious' and I just gave a quick thumbs up.

"Any bugs he left, I'm not aware of, and this device can't pick up."

"How useful." Neena said quietly from the kitchen. Agent Hill just gave her a flat look and continued scanning.

"So about that mission?" I said as I walked over to Neena and put my arm around her shoulders in case she snapped and went on a murdering rampage.

"I'll be escorting you and watching over you as you carry it out."

"What do you mean watching over me?"

"You're a new agent. Shield policy dictates a higher-ranking agent runs missions with new agents until they give them the green to go alone." She walked into the kitchen.

"So they got you to play babysitter? Shit luck." Neena muttered and I just looked at her.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"So far only three people know that Idris works for shield. I am unfortunately one of those three people." I looked at her with my hand to my heart.

"You hardly know me, lady."

"I know everything about you." She just continued down the hallway.

"Everyone knows everything about me apparently." I muttered.

"You're an idiot. Not much to know." Neena said looking at me, I sighed loudly and plopped down on the couch.

"Woe is me!" I covered my eyes and fake sobbed.

"You know what woe means?" I uncovered my eyes to see her with a raised eyebrow and her arms crossed. The gun she had in her hand was on the table.

"Saw it on TV." I shrugged. She rolled her eyes and sat down.

"Of course. When I was about to give you a compliment."

"You're clean of bugs." Hill walked backing into the living room and stood there. I sat up on the couch.

"What a crazy idea." I said as I nudged Neena, she just rolled her eyes and walked back into her room. "So." I tapped on the coffee table. "The mission."

"Everything you need is in the car. We'll take the car to the jet. Fly to Japan. Eliminate the target. Then come back. Understood?" I stood up and stretched while yawning.

"Aye aye captain." I snapped into a salute. She didn't find it funny and just walked out the door. "Women." I walked to Neena's room and knocked on the door.

"I'm leaving. So, get your own milk."

"Bite me." I heard her yell from the other side.

"All you have to do is ask." I yelled back.

"Go fuck yourself!"

"Now that is where our interests diverge. See ya!" I entered my room and put on my super suit. Then I just put regular clothes over it. I don't know how advanced Shield's tech is. I don't want to turn this target house into firewood then come out booty ball naked.

I walked out the room then out the apartment then into the elevator then out the building.

"Agent Hill. What a beautiful car you have." It was a Mercedes. She was leaning on the side of it with her arms crossed.

"Property of Shield."

"Working for them you can probably get 7 of these." I slid my hand across the hood. "With you being so far up the food chain, eh?" I stopped just as I was going to reach the handle of the passenger side door. She was still standing there.

"Bag is in the backseat. Some coffee in the cupholders. Don't spill anything." She brushed past me and walked around the car opening it. I opened my door and got in. "She threw her hand up. "Don't. Spill. Anything." I threw my hands up in mock surrender.

"Yeah. I got it." I put my arms down, turned around to look in the backseat. There waiting for me was a duffel bag. I grabbed it and opened it. "My oh my oh my." I pulled out a new mask. It looked like my old mask, but it was dark blue on one side and black on the other. Overall, it looked way more expensive then my current one. "Christmas already?"

"Inside is a new suit as well, along with some Yen. I don't know how your current suit survived this long."

"Gorilla tape." I said while looking around in the bag. "This is cool." I pulled out a vambrace looking thing.

"You've been repairing your suit up with Gorilla tape?" I looked to Hill to see her with a dumbfounded expression. I smiled.

"I got you to crack." I chuckled a little turning my attention back to the vambrace. Shaking it a little. "What's this do?"

"It has a communicator on it. Anything smaller would fry up at your temperature." I put it back in the bag.

"Cool."

"Along with a communicator, you can do all use it as a map or a hacking device." Without another second we started driving.

"A long way to the jet?"

"A couple hours."

"Great."

"That's why there's coffee."

"I could have just flown myself."

"Against policy.

"Blah blah blah."

"Are you going to keep acting like a child?"

"Maybe."

"Fucking Coulson." I heard her mutter under her breath.

"Flex Seal." I said after a couple minutes of silence.

"What?" She responded very confused.

"My suit. I just sprayed some Flex Seal on the holes, worked out fine."

"Unbelievable."

"Believe it."

And so, we drove. I got to say this Agent Hill lady is one boring fucking conversationalist!

This is the Author: I'm sorry for the delay. College/University and other stories got the better of me for a while. Much love.
