Kapitel 7: Ancient One

(To those wondering, and for those who use the mobile app anyway, so the new PC thing doesn't bother them, I'm going to be moving to Scribble hub under the account BeauSmith, an account I've already had for awhile now. It was actually where I originally thought about starting to write. My novels will start appearing after I finish switching everything I need. But I will continue to post the stories here as well for those who don't want to move.)

A woman in robes entered, her eyes wondering as she looked around the workshop with a soft smile.

The fact she was smiling was a good sign.

''It is, isn't it?'' The woman spoke, moving to take a seat with a smile, sitting across from Tony.

''How much do you know?'' Tony asked, the woman could peak through time, so it was easier to just ask her now.

''I've had this conversation... Many times, and each time I have left with a smile... You are..'' She frowned a bit, taking everything she wanted to say into account before she continued to speak.

''I am sorry, first of all, that some greater power has sought to pull you into all of this... But I am glad that out of everyone it could've been, it was someone as kind as you Tony... I wish you could see it in a way I could, I've seen you cause so much... Good while you've been here, I've never interfered, afraid that if I did it would ruin so many things...''

She released a soft sigh, her age catching up with her despite her youthful appearance, taking a sip of tea that seemed to randomly appear.

''But... I can trust you, as you have Earth in your heart and future, as you wish to protect it with the same determination as the others who are trying to protect it. You may have been forced into this position, but you have already come to terms with your position, and wish to do as much good as you can.''

She stood, making her way around the table as she leaned down, kissing the top of Tony's head before standing. ''Thank you Tony Stark, and for your future deeds, I leave you a gift, so you don't need to come to the sanctuary yourself.''

A book slammed onto the table, with such a force Tony thought it was going to break as he jumped out of his skin almost, causing the Ancient one to laugh as a portal appeared. ''Good luck, putting a suit of armor around the world!''

She then entered the portal, it vanishing after she did.

Turning to look at the book, he noticed the title.

''The basics of magic, for Tony and Jarvis.''

Tony released a breath as he collapsed in his chair, going limp as he sort of just sat there, his head fell backward as he stared at the ceiling.

''Jarvis, turns out I'm definitely a Hero... Begin scanning the book, looks like we've just gained another strength we can use that isn't just money and brains.''

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

''James, how does my tie look?''

''It looks fine Tony, now focus! Are you sure you want to announce this today?!"

His best friend gripped his shoulders firmly, making Tony look at him, even then unsure because of the shades he wore. Praying to anything he could that Tony wasn't drunk or high right now.

''Yes, I'm sure. It is the best time to do so, with the death of Stane caused by a weapons deal is the best time to announce that Stark will be henceforth deactivating all of its weapons, rendering them useless, and instead will be starting into becoming a tech empire and clean energy advocate... James, it's fine... I already have the clean energy project completed, it's already able to be released to the public, a single reactor could power an entire city by itself, and it's even made so that if it were to detonate, it would only cause a power outage!''

James released a heavy breath. ''I know... I may not understand everything, but I trust you, Tony... Just...''

James looked at Tony for a long moment, a storm of emotions before he suddenly pulled him into a rough hug. ''I'm just worried.''

Tony chuckled softly, returning the hug before he spoke. ''I understand James... I miss them too... A lot.''

They held that hug before James pushed him away, starting to straighten Tony's suit and making sure he looked his best. ''Alright... Go get them.''

As Tony walked down the aisle, entering the back stage a few people greeted him as he passed, but most stayed out of his way as he walked out onto stage, a lot of noise started happening as people immediately started to ask questions, people yelling to try and be heard over the crowd, as Tony took the podium he raised a hand, trying to get people to quiet down, it worked as after awhile people quieted down.

Taking off his sunglasses he folded them, putting them onto the podium as he watched forward with his clear brown eyes.

As the room quieted he spoke into the microphone. ''Sorry everyone, but I don't have a lot of time, a lot of things to do now that I'm the CEO of Stark Industries...''

Tony braced his hand on the sides of the podium, taking a breath, smirking slightly as he noticed a certain bald woman in the back of the crowd, smiling at him.

''I called this press meeting to announce a few changes that will be happening in the near future.''

Tony's hand raised as suddenly a large screen lowered, a projector lighting up as it began to show pictures of the arc reactor.

''This is Stark Industries' newest invention, worked on by my father, and finished by me. It is a renewable clean energy course, with enough power to be able to light the entirety of large cities such as L.A. and even New York. With this we'll be able to cut out a large portion of some of the problems that are currently starting to affect us as a whole, my hope is to begin building these not only on American soil but across the world to countries that need it.''

A storm of questions suddenly came as he finished, raising a hand he spoke out once more. ''Please! This isn't even the biggest announcement I need to make just yet, please save all your questions for after I'm done.''

It took a few moments but everyone began to quiet down, taking another breath he spoke once more.

''Stark Industries, with this new boon to our future, will start to take steps into the tech industry, hopefully with the brilliant minds at Stark Industry, we'll be able to take major steps into the future... Maybe even hoverboards by the 2020s.''

There were a few chuckles from the crowd, few getting the reference but he grew more serious. ''And... Since we will now be focusing on tech and clean energy projects... Stark Industries is no longer going to be participating in the arms war... We are no longer going to be selling or producing weapons, and all weapons currently in use will be considered dumb, if you want your money back, you can pack them up, and call our customer service representatives.''

As the questions began to storm up, Tony released a low chuckle, a lot of money would disappear within the next few months since he would be paying extra to all staff that would stay with him through this tide, but it would quickly begin to rack in again after some time.
