"I'm begging, Drake. Please, let us go. And please, let me hold my daughter," Cassie pleaded.
Her heart was almost broken because of the incessant crying of her daughter who was being held by Glenda. They give her milk in the bottle, but her daughter is still dependent on her—she's breastfeeding the child.
How cruel they will be?
"G-Glenda, please, let me hold my daughter! Let me go!" Her voice was cracked, trying to hold back her tears. "Let me go… let me go," she said, almost whispering.
Drake just laughed while he could see her suffering.
What a demon!
"That's right. Feel my wrath, Cassie—Theo's kryptonite that can serve to be the source of his death," Mira said and devilishly laughed along with her daughter's loud cries.
"L-Let me hold my daughter…" she said weakly. She felt exhausted and terrified for her daughter who won't stop crying.
She doesn't know where they are. When they saw the driver on their way to Brooklyn, they were immediately blindfolded. When those demons removed their blindfolds, they saw tall trees. The vehicle also took several hours to arrive from there.
They planned everything. She blamed herself too because she was drifting off the fun of going out and hanging with her friends. She also trusted Glenda. And she was stupid because she didn't even check with their driver before leaving.
They entered the old and seemingly abandoned building in the middle of nowhere. All they could do was cry as they entered and tied them up. They even make them wear a vest with explosives. And even her innocent daughter has to wear the vest.
Drake and Mira are heartless, psychopathic, and demonic.
The abandoned building has many rooms, and her two friends are in another room. She and her daughter have left at the entrance of the building… sitting in a steel chair, hand-tied back, and wearing a vest with a bomb. The timer isn't activated yet, and they don't know when it will be activated.
Drake also has a large number of men. For that reason, Cassie thought he may be a member of a notorious group like Theo.
"Gosh, Cassie. You're hopeless. Haha!" Mira blurted as she walked near Cassie.
Cassie glared at her. She knew all along that Mira would never sit back.
"What do you want? You ruined my family and now—" *Slap*
Cassie was interrupted when Mira slapped her on the left cheek.
"Stop acting as if you know nothing!" Mira screamed. "You almost destroy our lives! I should have got rid of you a long time ago!" she added.
Cassie gritted her teeth. "I never thought that you would get worse."
Mira scoffed. "You made us like this. You want to have everything—"
"What? I gave you a chance. But what are you doing? You're wasting it—"
"Oh, shut up, bitch! I want you dead. That's my goal. I don't care even if we're siblings," Mira asserted.
"Bullshit!" Drake suddenly growled at Glenda, "Shut her up. Otherwise, I will plant a bullet in your temple—"
"Why are you doing this?!" Cassie diverted his gaze toward Drake and shouted.
Drake approaches her and pulls a chair. He sat down in front of her with a demonic grin flustered on his lips.
"I never expected you to do this… What do you want from Theo?" She didn't know where she got the courage to ask the man and find his reason.
Drake just laughed and suddenly his face became serious.
"The world of the mafia is chaotic. You don't know who your allies are. You don't know what will happen the next day. They can—I can kill you any time. We kill hundreds to prove our worth. We kill to get our own goal—their own goal. We're just a puppet, Cassie. Even Theodore used to be a puppet, but it became different. It seems like he's no longer a slave. I want something from him and you fucking know nothing!" he growled and aimed the gun at her. She gasped in astonishment.
"Bang!" he said and laughed again. "Don't ask anymore because you can't get anything from me. let's wait for your beloved. Let's see if he can save you… all by himself," said Drake. He grinned. "Or you might end up like his late wife."
Cassie's eyes widened, confused. "W- What are you talking about?"
"Wow." Drake laughed. "So, Theodore Smith hasn't shared his past with you and you already love him? Poor you—"
"Just fucking tell me."
Mira stepped in front of them and glared at her. "After I kill Theodore Smith, you will be sacrificed to King Hades and the world will change."
Cassie frowned upon hearing nonsense from Mira who now sitting on Drake's lap.
"Babe…"
Mira smirked. "Don't worry, babe. It is better if she will know it—"
"Theo will kill you all if he finds out that you are involved in murdering his wife," Cassie said, making Drake and Mira burst into laughter.
"Before he can do that, I will make sure that the bullet of my gun struck his fucking skull."
Cassie pressed her lips and looked at her daughter who was already asleep. 'Poor, Camila. I'm sorry, darling,' she thought.
"You two are getting insane."
Drake stood up and pushed Mira on his side. "Insane? The world needs changes. Once King Hades grants our wishes, a powerful being will be reborn to change everything. And you," he moved closer to her and cupped her face with his right hand. She grimaced when she started to feel that pain from his tight grip. "You will fulfill the prophecy."
THEO'S TEAM can't still track Cassie's locations. They even used the NASA satellites which are illegal... just to find where they are. Kurt started to lose hope. They had the best trackers yet why? It seems like Carter is one hell of a smart foe.
"We should get back up. Let's ask help from the Big Boss, Theo," Kurt suggested.
"No," he said, stubbornly.
Kurt pilled his hair because of Theo's stubbornness. They've been convincing the man for a couple of an hour, but still, he refuses.
"You know the Boss can help us. He will not hesitate to do it especially if he knew that Drake Carter is one of your suspects who killed his sister," Kurt explained.
"I doubt that. He gave me this task," Theo replied.
"Trust me, Sir. Mr. Moretti will help us. So, call him and we're going to continue searching," Cliff looked at his watch, "We still have two hours and thirty minutes. You better hurry, Sir," he added.
Theo heaved a deep sigh. They have a point, and there's no harm if he tries to. He was about to dial the number when his mind hit a thought. He cursed.
"The necklace!" he shouted. Kurt frowned and the rest of their men stopped. They gave a confused look to Theo.
"The necklace—"
"What about the necklace?" asked Kurt.
"I gave my daughter a necklace that has a tracker on it, if we can't locate any of their phones, we can track the necklace. Cici never removed it from our daughter's neck. We… we can use it. Quick!" Theo said, with so much hope in his eyes.
After a few minutes later, they already tracked their location. Theo wiped his palm on his face and smiled wryly.
'Damn it, I almost lose hope,' he pondered.
"But I'm serious, dude. You must call the boss. Going there all by yourself is not a joke. You don't know Carter. Don't let him outsmart the mighty Smith," said Kurt.
Theo heaved a deep sigh again and told them that they had to plan quite fast. They almost took thirty minutes on the given time. Just like what Drake instructed, Theo will show off, alone.
"No matter what happens, you know what to do," Theo said and maneuvered his car towards their location.
The location is kilometers away from them so he needs to drive as fast as he can. Plus, the fact that the place is located at the top of the mountains.
CASSIE'S eyes were pleading as she looked at Glenda who was just silently watching what the man was doing. Sometimes the girl avoided her gaze and just turned around.
How did Glenda do that to her? Why did she betray them? She trusted her.
Cassie thought that she was an angel who could not bring any harm.
She keeps on wiggling… trying to escape but she knows she can't. She almost lifted the chair but still—she was tied tightly and there was no hope that she could remove it. She was just hurting herself.
When suddenly a black car entered the building. Theo climbs down from there. Cassie cried again when she saw him. And she caught the man's attention. Theo clenched his fists and shouted, "Carter!"
