When Diara woke again, the soft glow of evening sunlight filtered through the hospital blinds, casting long, golden shadows across the room. Her body felt heavy, weighted down by a bone-deep exhaustion that seemed to wrap itself around her, refusing to let go. 

Every breath felt like a struggle, and her limbs were limp, drained of any energy. She reached for her phone, her hands trembling slightly as she unlocked the screen. Ziora. 

The name had come to her mind immediately, the one person she had always relied on, her best friend and confidante.

Her finger hovered over the call button, but then she hesitated. Ziora had been so busy lately, caught up in the whirlwind of the family business. 

Diara knew that her friend was being forced to take over her father's empire, thrust into a world of responsibility and corporate warfare that left little room for anything else.
