Kapitel 44: Forget the night

Roseline's POV

"Would you believe it if I told you that you were jumping like a frog in the middle of the road" Vincenzo's voice sliced through the heavy silence?

"Have you gone crazy? Why would I do that?" I protested, my voice tinged with a mix of confusion and indignation

He cocked his head as if he knew my answer. Without arguing any further he retrieved his phone from his pocket and played a video. My eyes widened and my jaw dropped when I saw myself hoping on the road like a frog. The reality of it hit me like a tidal wave, overwhelming me with disbelief.

I can't believe it is me!

I could feel my cheeks turning right out of embarrassment.

My free hand instinctively covered my mouth while my other hand was still holding the duvet around me as if my life depends on it.

"Why?" I gulped, my voice barely above a whisper, as tears threatened to spill from the corners of my eyes. "How? I don't remember anything..."
