Kapitel 75: Trick 74: Becoming a Knight!
Volstagg and Sif walked into the library, saying "Your majesty!" as they held up a canister with a floating red mist inside. Ace looked at it and his heart throbbed strangely. Frigga looked at the canister, saying "One moment."
As she retrieved a container.
The Aether sprung out, coiling in the air as Sif and Volstagg watched. Ace stretched out his hand and the red mist flew towards him, coiling around his arm. Frigga shouted "Ace!"
Ace's eyes turned black before glowing purple as the mist was blown back. Frigga waved her hands and the mist flew into the container she prepared. Ace shook his head and blinked "What just happened?"
Sif and Volstagg looked at him anxiously while Frigga let out a breath of relief, touching Ace's shoulder. She smiled "A boon. Your advancement has been completed ahead of time."
Ace was stunned, asking "You knew?" Frigga smiled mysteriously, handing the container back to Volstagg and Sif who were looking at Ace with excitement. Sif grabbed Ace's hands, saying emotionally "Thank you, mage! Once again!"
While Volstagg slapped Ace's back, laughing "We shall finally feast with you! Tell us of your legends when we return! Hahahah!" Ace was a bit awkward and nodded as the duo ran off quickly, hoping to return quicker.
Frigga let out a breath and shook her head, continuing with the lesson.
A day passed
Ace was standing on a rug, wearing an Asgardian cloak with fur in a suit of armor. Odin stood on the throne waving his hands, saying "We are gathered here today to celebrate victory!" the crowd cheered and Odin pointed his spear at Ace, saying "As well as celebrate another! The hero who sacrificed his life to save your majesty the Queen from a sure death."
Ace sighed to himself and kneeled on one knee as Odin said "I, Odin Borson, hereby grant this brave warrior with the title of Knight!" The crowd cheered and Ace closed his eyes, as one soldier sneered secretly, standing by the side.
Thor, the Warriors Three, Sif, and Frigga were clapping happily as the ceremony played out.
After the ceremony, there was a huge banquet.
Although, Ace didn't quite like the attention he was getting. He didn't save Frigga to be rewarded. Hence, he left the banquet early and went to the library to read.
Frigga walked in and smiled "Not very social are we?" Ace replied "I don't feel comfortable around so many people…" he touched his face and added, "Especially without a mask…"
Frigga looked at him and smiled gently, "Perhaps we can fix that."
The next day
Frigga and Ace landed on Nidavellir!
Ace rubbed his temples and followed Frigga to, who else but Eitri!
Eitri looked at Ace in shock, kneeling "Your majesty!" Frigga waved him up, smiling "You've met, I presume?" Eitri nodded and explained "You see he came here once with Master Ancient One." Frigga smiled and said "Well some things have happened, he is now a Knight and honorary citizen of Asgard. If you could please, Eitri."
Eitri was blown away and nodded, turning to Ace with disbelief all over his face.
Ace walked over and said "Uh… Hey." Frigga smiled and turned around, walking away. Eitri asked in shock "How did you? When? What happened?!" Ace sighed and rubbed his eyes, explaining what happened and how he left his artifacts with the Ancient One and then went to Asgard, etc.
Eitri hugged Ace, laughing "A true warrior! Hahahaha! Excellent!" before putting him down, asking with a big smile "What can I do for you?" Ace handed him all sorts of materials, asking "Just a cloak."
Eitri looked at the materials and nodded, "I can do that." Ace nodded and asked "Can I also ask you a few things?" Eitri nodded before saying with a complicated face, "I can't share secrets…"
Ace waved and started asking questions about artifact making, writing them down in his notebook as Eitri answered.
A few months passed
Ace was wearing a new cloak. It was grayish black and tattered beyond belief, mostly because it was created with Dementor Cloth. However, the cloak has dragon scales woven into the fabric along with spikes connecting the middle together right under Ace's neck.
The cloak was relatively defensive, however he didn't want it to be extremely powerful like his previous cloak because Frigga warned him that he would not progress without danger.
Plus, Ace had been to Mistress Death's realm. He was barely scared of anything anymore. He still wondered how Vanessa was, hopefully she wasn't still crying…
She was but anyway!
Ace learned quite a bit on Asgard, his mandala shields were slowly morphing into something else as his inherent magic was more of an active element. However they were very experimental.
When he returned to Earth, he went back to the Ministry and continued his studies as there was only a week left until returning to Hogwarts.
However, before even a few days passed, Ace looked at the news to see guns all over the streets in DC. Not only that but Romanoff and Steve as well. He frowned and saw SHIELD show up on the news.
He sat in the Ministry looking at his phone before walking out, packing his things.
Arthur saw him and smiled "Ace!" Ace smiled and said "See you later, Arthur." Arthur smiled and asked, "Heading home?" Ace nodded and left the Ministry.
He threw his cloak up and checked the GPS before jumping on his Broom and flying away, muttering "Here goes nothing…" as he shot across the sky instantly.
