Kapitel 76: Alerting the Ladies

Prudence's wide eyes stared at Vincent as she felt the fear wash over her. Her voice trembled as she spoke in an inaudible voice, "H-his Grace, that..." no reason followed her lips.

Vincent continued to read the letter without looking at Prudence. Both of them knew she was caught red handed. There was nothing Prudence could do now, neither snatch the letter away from him just to see him win nor convince him it meant otherwise because the intentions were mentioned quite clear in it. Vincent's face turned cold as he went through the content. Prudence could not even predict what he was going to do next, because his face was a blank canvas right now.

Panic set in her nerves as she clutched the side of her skirt with the room making her feel suffocated.
