The room fell into a heavy silence as the weight of their conflicting claims hung in the air. Sarah, sensing the tension, took hesitant steps towards Yue Xin, her young face etched with confusion. But then she hesitated again and inched towards Keri, her eyes filled with uncertainty.

Yue Xin's heart ached as she looked into her daughter's innocent face, on the verge of tears. She knew she had to make Sarah understand the truth. With trembling hands, she reached out to Sarah, her voice filled with determination.

"Sarah, sweetheart, listen to me. I am your mother. I may have been away for a while, but I am here now, and I will never leave you again." Even though she did not know how her baby got here, she was relieved that her child was safe.
