Kapitel 31: CHAPTER THIRTY ONE

A deafening explosion rocked the air, causing the ground to tremble beneath him. His stomach churned and twisted, and a knot tightened in his chest as he instinctively turned his head back towards the source of the blast

He stood frozen, his eyes wide with shock and disbelief, as he stared in utter horror at the abandoned warehouse before him.

"No..", he muttered under his breath.

Flames consumed every inch of the structure, dancing wildly in the day sky as the intense heat radiated off the walls.

The crackling roar of the fire drowned out all other sounds, except for the pounding of his own heart, which echoed in his ears.

His eyes widened even further, if possible, as he beheld the warehouse engulfed in an even fiercer blaze, the flames raging higher and more ferociously than before.

A gasp escaped from his mouth, a mix of fear, desperation, and realization.

It dawned on him that his Noah was still there, most likely caught up in the devastating explosion.

"No, no , no, no , no.".

Panic surged through his veins, overwhelming his senses and eradicating all rational thoughts.

"Noah!".

Without a second of hesitation or regard for his own safety, he sprinted towards the blazing structure, his mind consumed with a singular focus, to rescue his friend.

His legs moved instinctively, almost tripping him in his reckless haste, but he paid no attention to the stumbling steps that threatened to hinder his desperate race.

The adrenaline coursing through his body fueled his determination, banishing any notion of self-preservation, for he couldn't bear the thought of his friend meeting such a cruel fate.

"This shouldn't be happening!", he said in a panicked tone to himself.

As he slowly blinks his eyes open, he feels a throbbing pain in his head. His vision begins to clear, and he sees a worried face gazing down at him.

Confusion washes over him as he tries to piece together his surroundings. With a sudden jolt, he sits up and asks his friend what happened.

But before he can utter another word, his friend wraps his arms around him tightly, squeezing him in a bear hug. Bewildered by his friend's sudden display of affection, he can't help but feel the warmth and relief in the embrace.

"Don't scare me like that dude".

As their embrace dissolves, he takes a moment to assess himself. His eyes wander down to his clothes, and he is met with a shocking sight - burn marks and multiple holes adorn his clothes .

Glancing around, as he tries to make sense of the situation surrounding him. In the distance, he hears the distant wailing of sirens, their sound growing louder with each passing second.

Flashing blue and red lights illuminate from afar, drawing his attention to a single location - an abandoned warehouse that now lay in ruins, consumed by flames.

Oh! , now he remembered. He remembered the explosion that he was caught up to , that took the whole warehouse out completely.

Though they were a considerable distance away from the burning building, he could still make out the commotion and the presence of the emergency services.

Firefighters battled the raging inferno, spraying water upon the remnants of what was once a structure.

Police officers maintained order amidst the chaos, while ambulances stood ready to provide aid to those in need.

The cacophony of sirens and the flickering lights created an eerie atmosphere, amplifying the magnitude of the situation.

The explosion had somehow spread, affecting those residing close to it too.

Turning back to his friend, he musters the strength to ask what had occurred, his voice laced with a mixture of curiosity.

His friend's eyes glisten with unshed tears, and there is a moment of hesitation before he reveals the truth.

"I don't know dude, I saw the explosion from afar and immediately ran to come help , but the flame got too intense for me to even go in, so I called this city's fire services and police... and also an ambulance".

Noah raised his eyebrow in a bit of confusion.

"Ok i panicked , i didn't have any idea what to do, so as I waited for them to get here , I was really scared that you had died inside the warehouse, until ,I saw someone coming from the flames , and it was you", he explained, gesticulating wildly.

"I did? Is that why my clothes are all burnt up? ", Noah asked, observing his burnt fabric once more.

Ceaser nodded at his question.

Then his eyes widened in realization of something he had missed.

"Where's the man from the warehouse?", he asked, with curiousity and a bit of fear.

Ceaser gave him a puzzled look, then he answered in a low tone.

"I should be asking you that question. When you came out of the fire, you carried the man on your back, laid him down carefully, before you passed out".

"Is he okay?", he questioned, anxiety filling his words.

"Slight burns and torn clothes, but that's it. He's down there with the authorities, probably answering some questions".

Noah breathed a sigh of relief after hearing those words, he was really glad.

Ceaser was filled with a mix of gratitude and disbelief. He clings to his friend.

"Thanks for not dying dude, I was really scared", he scuffled, wiping away the tears that had already began flowing freely.

Noah could vividly recall their argument, so it greatly relieved him that it didn't stop his friend from caring about him.

He looked at his body and couldn't find a single injury, he had survived yet again. He smiles to himself.

"Well there goes another of our locations which we intended on getting information on your family, all consumed in flames", Ceaser sighed.

Noah slowly got back to his feet, wiping away any dirt that stained his pants, though he was only able to do very little about it.

"So we should be heading back then?". Noah asked, taking a quick glance to the warehouse, then back to his friend.

"I guess, I'm sorry dude, we'll figure something out. I promise", Ceaser said, with a determined look on his face.

Noah nodded at his friend's resolve. This was far from over that was for sure. He was going to find them no matter what it cost him and no matter how long it would take him.

Slowly rising up to his feet, "Hold on a sec before we go, I have to take a quick pee", Ceaser said, walking to a corner, already pulling his pants slightly down.

"Oh, Ceaser, you forgot your phone". Noah said picking up his friend's phone which was on the ground when he stood up.

He noticed that it was unlocked and the screen blared. He wanted to know the time so he brought the phone closer to his gaze to see, when suddenly his eyes widened in disbelief as he took a quick peek at his friend's phone screen.

"No".

As the young boy and his butler exit the towering company building, their steps are light and confident, effortlessly gliding through the grand entrance and onto the bustling streets.

The boy's carefree demeanor is matched by the attentive presence of his butler, who hangs onto his every word with genuine interest and engagement.

Their conversation flows smoothly, blending the boy's youthful enthusiasm with the butler's wisdom and experience.

Approaching the nearby parking lot, their eyes are drawn to the striking silhouette of the BMW M8 Gran Coupe, a symbol of power and luxury.

The butler gracefully extends his hand, opening the passenger door for the young boy with a practiced elegance that exudes his commitment to impeccable service.

"Thank you Silas", he said, as the boy settles into the supple leather seats, the butler makes his way to the driver's seat with a sense of purpose and authority.

With a gentle turn of the key, the engine comes to life, its potent growl both thrilling and reassuring.

The car effortlessly navigates through the parking lot, turning heads with its sleek design and commanding presence.

Sensing the young boy's dissatisfaction with his earlier meeting, the young boy voices his complaints to his loyal butler, longing for excitement and adventure to break the monotony.

In response, the butler's eyes twinkle with understanding, a knowing smile forming on his lips.

"Master Peregrine, I do assure you that infact you should exercise patience" the butler replies, his voice calm and reassuring. "You are the one left in charge of your father's company, so everything under him also belongs to him. You are more than free to carry out in whichever way you want so as long as it helps the company . The fun part, as you say, begins whenever you choose."

"So you're saying I can do anything I want ? Anything at all?".

"Indeed young master ".

Satisfied with his butler's response, the young boy's excitement begins to simmer as possibilities unfold before him.

The car glides through the busy streets, the serenity of its interior providing a respite from the outside world.

"There was a document I observed sir, about a popular hunter , though he resides in another city, is quite known for perfection in carrying out commands. We could definitely use someone like him for the company".

"But don't we have more than enough trained hunters working for my dad? What makes this one different from the rest?".

"I read from his file that he single handedly takes out an entire wereshifter's pack by him self. His success rating is a staggering ninety six percent , when compared to our best hunter with sixty percent success ratio on their mission. You can see why we need him".

"When you put it that way, I do indeed want him to come", the young boy said, grinning to himself.

"Exactly young master, there are a lot of incoming projects that he will have to play massive roles in".

"Is he that special or you're exaggerating Silas", he said, narrowing his eyes in curiosity.

"Oh my , I would never do that. This are stats showed from the last ten to fifteen years so I can confidently say he is what this company needs right now ".

"Guess we'll have to bring him here then, cause if you say he's special ,then he must be".

"Indeed sir, wise choice. Though you'll have to arrange a call to invite him over here. It will most likely be a difficult task as he is a very busy person and also on the list of rarest hunters".

"That's true, but no matter, I'll make him come to us with an offer he can't resist. Who's this person though? He sounds interesting ".

"He goes by the name Red Blade ,Master Pellegrin".

To be continued.
