Kapitel 34: BIRTHDAY BOY

(HOSEOK'S POV)

I wake up at a soft music playing in my room. Strange, I don't remember letting anything playing in the background and I didn't change my alarm tone - as if it had beautiful melodies like this one, anyway -.

The morning sun caresses my eyelids, warming myself a little bit more as I snuggle under the covers. I don't want to get up yet.

"Wake up, birthday boy."

A small smile appears on my face, hearing his voice the first thing in the morning sends me a wave of happiness I didn't feel before.

"You remember." I say, with a husky voice.

"Everyone remembers."

"I thought you had forgotten it."

"Wake up now, breakfast's ready."

I sit on the bed, passing both hands through my messy hair. I try to open my eyes, but it's too bright outside.

"What time is it again?"

"Eleven O'clock."

I yawn. "I've no excuses, am I right?"

I hear Yoongi's chuckle. "Do your things and come to the living room, there's the first surprise for you."

"Mmm, already a surprise?"

"Today's full of it. But now, get up." He throws me a pillow. I finally open my eyes and I see him running while he laughs.

When I walk off the bathroom, I put a red beanie on and I go straight to the living room. Above the big windows, the sentence "HAPPY BIRTHDAY HOSEOK !" is written with silver balloons.

"Happy birthday Hobi!" Taehyung's the first to hug me. I almost fall back when he holds on to me like a koala.

"Thank you, Taehyungie." I say, caressing softly his back.

"Come on, breakfast ready."

He grabs my hand and pulls me towards a new table, near the kitchen. The table is made of glass, there're seven plates and seven glasses. Chocolate cookies, toasts, strawberry jam, orange juice and coffee decorate the table, and there's also a white jar with red flowers in the middle of the table.

"Guys, this is beautiful. When did you do all of this? When did you buy all of this? And since when we've this table?" I'm speechless, but at the same time I'm full of questions. They've put a lot of effort. "You didn't need to do this, guys."

"Of course we needed." Jimin says, already sitting on a chair. The chairs are also made of glass.

"You deserve this. Happy birthday, buddy." Namjoon gives me a quick hug.

"Come on, come on." Taehyung says, dragging me with him.

I end up sitting next to him and Yoongi. The others are in front of us, Seokjin and Namjoon are to the sides, Jimin and Jungkook in the middle of them.

"It looks delicious." I say, looking at the food.

"These ones are handmade," Seokjin gives me a cookie. "I made them."

"No way." I make the first bite. It's crispy, a lil warm and the taste of chocolate isn't too hard, but not too weak either. It fits perfectly with the word 'sweet'. The chocolate chips melt in my mouth. "It's delicious, Jin. You've to teach me how making them."

He smiles. "I'm glad you like it. It would be my pleasure."

"Go on, keep eating." Taehyung encourages me.

"Here, hyung." Jungkook gives me a toast, with the red jam already on it.

I make the first bite, "Mmm, sweet and crunchy. The way I like it." I giggle, covering my lips with my hands.

"Today's your day." Yoongi says. I look at how the mug goes down from Yoongi's lips and he places it on the little plate. They've bought a new coffee white set.

"What are we going to do today? Do you've something planned?" I ask, putting another cookie in my mouth.

"It's your day, you decide." Taehyung says.

"I don't care, we can do whatever."

Actually, I didn't think about what to do. I've been overwhelmed with all the Yoongi-Charles situation and I thought they'd really forgotten my birthday. I'm dumb thinking like that, we would never forget something deeply important related to one of us.

"We do have something planned. But first, finish your breakfast." Namjoon smile gently at me.

* * * * *

"Where are we going?" It has been fifteen minutes since we left. The boys rented a black van for today. Going on a short trip is better than staying all day in the flat playing table games, which we don't even have.

"It's a surprise." Jimin says, from the back.

"Please, tell me! Tell me, tell me, tell me." I pout, crossing my arms on my thighs.

"You'll have to wait a bit more." Jin says between Jungkook's laugher. He doesn't look at us, his eyes are focused only on the road.

"I love you, but I hate you."

"Remember that curiosity killed the cat." Yoongi mumbles.

"What do you mean?" I take my eyes off the window to look at him, who's sitting next to me. He doesn't say anything, he only smirks.

"I hate you." I stick out my tongue to him and his smirk become a soft smile.

"Dummy."

"I won." Jimin whispers.

"Nothing happened." Jungkook whispers yell back.

I've no idea what they all have planned, but I put all my attention again to the view. At some point, it will give me some clues about where are we going. And it definitely did. We're in Busan. It took us 4 hours - we stopped at a small cafe to get hydrated and stretch our legs -, but we're finally here.

Seokjin gets in a private parking, a big and tall building next to it. "Uh, guys, where are we going? We're coming back to Seoul, will we?"

"Yeah, but we're comming back on Sunday!" Jimin says. "Surprise!" He hugs my neck, from behind, slightly choking me.

"Jimin, you ruined it!" Jungkook slaps his arm, playfully. I pat Jimins hands, trying to ease his force. After a few tries, he finally lets go.

"It was so obvious, he's turning 19 today, not 9." Jimin defends himself.

While these two keep going with their bickering, the rest of us get out of the car. We're, indeed, in the parking lot of a hotel. "Guys, how are we going to stay the weekend, if we don't have any luggage?"

"Namjoon thought about everything. He's the one who planned all of this, actually." Taehyung whispers to me.

"I've all figure it out, you just have to enjoy your time here." He smiles at me, taking off our bags out of the trunk with Yoongi's help. I return the smile, but I can still see some kind of sadness leaving his eyes. I shrug off my curiousity looking at the amazing hotel. We're so fucking lucky to be friends with the Prince.

"Come on, come on." Taehyung's once again by my side, walking - pulling me - inside with him.

Namjoon does the check in, while we wait for him on a sofa with our belongings. Jungkook keeps looking around, trying to spot the dining room. Soekjin's grabbing him from the end of his black sweatshirt, not letting him go away.

"Okay, guys, those are the cards." He has three in total.

"We aren't sleeping together?" Jungkook says, all his interest on the food is already gone.

"There's no room for seven people, Kookie. I'm sorry." He shows his dimples, but not his teeth.

"So, how are we doing this?" Yoongi stands up.

"Because you're Hobi's best friend, you're going to share rooms." He gives him the card.

"The three little monsters are also sharing room. Jimin," He reaches out the card for him.

"Wait. We're sharing a room?" Taehyung raises his voice, startling us and some other people walking near us.

Namjoon sighs and caresses his forehead for a few seconds. "I know you're in some bad waters right now, but it was the best option. If I put you with Jimin, you would say you're uncomfortable; if I put them together, you would feel bad: and if I put you with JK. . . I feared you would start fighting and I just don't want any kind of problem during these three days, understand?"

He looks us all. He has dark circles under his eyes and his hair's starting to look messy, or maybe he had it before, but I didn't pay attention.

"We won't cause trouble, I promise." I say.

He mutters something under his breath that I'm not able to understand. He sends a last stern look to the younger ones and all of us start going to our room. Or that's what I thought, I turn around for a moment to see Namjoon and Seokjin staring at each other, intensely.

"Birthday boy, I'm waiting." Yoongi's already inside the lift and the three boys nowhere to be seen. I run before the doors get closed.

"Do you know what's going on between Nam and Jin?" I fix my hair, getting closer to the mirror that surrounds the three walls.

He shakes his head. "Partner crisis, I guess."

"Mm-hmm. I hope they fix it as soon as possible, they're our pillars, aren't they?"

"Kind of."

The doors get open and I don't have time to check the number of the floor are we staying. I follow Yoongi through the corridor, looking at the details of the white and gold carpet.

"Here it is." He puts the card on the door. 707. The number of the room is also gold.

"Get in first, birthday boy."

"Stop calling me that." I say, blushing a little.

I grab my luggage and I get in. There's a short corridor and a white door on the right. I let the bags in front of it.

Yoongi laughs. "But it's funny."

"Wow, look at the views!" I run towards the end of the room. There's a large window, and its height and elongated are equal as the other three walls of the main room. There's a balcony, but it's not very narrow.

He comes closer. "The night view must be beautiful." He stays in silence for a few seconds, looking at the beach. His black hair shines with the amount of light, and it looks like his pale skin is going to shine, too. It may not be possible, but he doesn't need a single ray of sunshine to shine.

"What about we unpack our things?"

He nods. "Sounds good."

(NAMJOON'S POV)

Once I've all my things in its place, I go down to talk to the same receptionist who did the check in.

"Excuse me," I say. She raises his head and puts her glasses on. "I want to make a change in my room."

"Of course, wait a second." She searches in a stack of paperwork. "Find it. You're Kim Namjoon, right?"

"Yes."

"Do you have a problem with your accommodation?"

"No, but I would like to have two individual beds instead of one, can someone separate them for me?"

"Of course. If you need anything else, please let us know."

"Thank you." I smile politely.

I walk towards Seokjin, who's been waiting in the corridor. He's walking from right to left, looking down to his feet. He raises his head when he hears my last steps. "What did they say? Are they going to change it?"

"Yes." I keep walking without looking at him. I've no idea where to go, but everything is going to be better than staying with a whiny Seokjin, who didn't even want to share a room. I'd have gotten different rooms, if I knew he would break up with me out of the blue.
