After killing it, Locke laid on the ground for two hours until he had enough energy to stand up. When he stood up, he didn't waste any time and went over to Mary and Lela, he was movement was slow, showing that he didn't fully recovered from excessively his using mana.
"How is she?" asked Lock to Lela. He only saw Mary one time, but he already thought her as one of his women, so he was worried about her condition.
"There is no fatal danger anymore, but healing completely would take some time." said Mary, she didn't even look at Locke. Her all focus was on the healing process.
Hearing that Locke relived and sat down near them, and regulate his breathing. He was confident in Mary's skills and he didn't have any talent for healing. His body tempering was yang based, and it did affect his mana cultivation too. He had explosive strength, but he didn't have any healing properties aside from his regeneration.
…
Leon was sitting on the chair while his eyes closed and Casper was still sleeping. They spent their days in the library, and Cale finished books about blacksmithing, but he read other books about maguses and magic. He planned to become a grandmaster and start to mana cultivation, so knowing beforehand was better than knowing nothing. While he was reading a paragraph, his brows furrowed and he was making a confused face.
"Leon, I'm curious. The maguses wouldn't temper their bodies, so why did you temper your body?" asked Cale.
"I'm not tempering my body in a real sense, it might look like this, but it is more like how a child need nutrients to grow, I need other things to grow. I might look like late teens, but in titan race I could be counted as a child." said Leon.
It was true that Leon wouldn't consider as an adult in titan race. The only way to titan to be considered as a grown adult was to reach the space-time stage. The titans were late bloomers their mental age would slowly grow and they instinctively sought for materials to grow further, only after reaching space-time stage, their mental age would become an adult's. The inheritance that he got from the titan corpse was an instinct. Leon heard in his previous life that people would crave for nutrients that their body needed. It was more like that, also the stages didn't have any names in the inheritance, Leon named them to make more distinguishable.
"Your race must be born warriors, huh." commented Cale. Leon shrugged his shoulders to the comment, he didn't confirm or deny that comment.
The titans were an ancient race, Leon learned that from the corpse of the titan, but he didn't know their social structure or their culture. He actually didn't even think that he could encounter a titan.
After the small talk over, Leon closed his eyes while waiting for Casper to wake up. He didn't want to wake him up because he knew that he was tired after living in the forest for days. Hermes was also lying on the ground and sleeping, he was the most tired one in the group because of his training. Leon wanted him to relax while he could, then he could continue his training.
As for Leon, he already completely copied the library into his book of knowledge. Aside from that he himself also walked among the bookshelves to see if there was any hidden mechanism that would lead him to any secret chamber, then he might find some treasures, but he didn't find any.
Leon also didn't loot all the books, but he took some of them that caught his eye. He didn't need those books because he already copied them, he took them because he could give others in his fief. The books were about the military. Leon had plans for establishing military in his fief, but he didn't have any experience about it, so these books were could be used as a base for the military in his fief.
After about two hours Casper and Hermes woke up, Leon told them that they shouldn't waste their time in the library. They agreed to leave the library and gathered their equipments, then left the library.
After they left the library, their routine didn't change. Hermes was the one who hunted monsters, Leon didn't know how long this trial would go on, maybe until all ruins had discovered. If that's so, Leon shouldn't train Hermes in this forest, but he needed to find ruins and finish this trial. He also didn't find Theo and others. He already said to Casper that he needed to talk with Theo and solve their misunderstanding. Casper also agreed to that, he just had enmity with Theo just because he thought that Theo was behind the gossips.
Leon also shared his thought about the way to finish this trial, The others also didn't know how the trial would end, but the most reasonable way was the Leon's way. Cale was eager to loot some ruins and gather as much material as possible, he was already grumbling about that they were wasting their time.
After the group decided to search for the ruins, Leon sat down to the ground and spread his senses. He was going to use his senses to the limits to see any ruins around them. It was mentally exhausting for Leon, it wasn't the spreading was draining his mental energy, but processing the information was tasking. After about four hours, Leon found two ruins, but his sea consciousness was looking like a dried lake at the moment. Seeing that, Leon was determined to create a material body for his book of knowledge. If he were to created that, he could easily use his soul artifact for processing the info and his mental energy wouldn't be drained after a search.
"I found two ruins, one of them at the west other one at the northwest."
"Which one is the nearest?" asked Cale
"The one at the west."
"Is it looking like it has ores in it?" asked again.
"How can you tell somewhere if have any ores in it?" asked Casper with a contempt in his voice.
"Kid, if it is a smithy, it might have some ores laying around!" Cale retorted. They didn't get along well until they met. It didn't result with brawl, but they were constantly bickering while they were in the library. Leon got used to that and he didn't mind that.
They didn't waste time and went to the west, Leon didn't completely terminate Hermes' training. On the way, whenever they came across a monster, Leon let Hermes to deal with it and they waited while he was battling.
When they arrived in front of the ruins, they saw a cemetery, which had a mausoleum in the center. The mausoleum had an ancient Greek architecture style and the sides of the doors there was two statues which were looking like they were protecting the mausoleum while holding spears in their hands. They didn't immediately entered the mausoleum, they walked around in the cemetery.
They didn't find anything in the cemetery aside from a few death attributed plants. Others didn't have any interest to them, but Leon took them. There was some poisonous herbs and plants too, Leon had poison pearl and the poison wouldn't harm him if it wasn't very potent, besides, he could further improve his poison pearl with these poisonous plants and herbs.
After thoroughly inspecting the cemetery, they didn't find anything worthy.
"Are you immune to the poisons?" asked Leon. When he was walking in the cemetery only things that he found were death attributed or poisonous, so he concluded that inside of the mausoleum might be filled with death energy and poisons.
Hearing Leon's question, Casper and Cale both shook their heads, after a bit further thinking they also came to the same conclusion.
"You all wait outside, I'll check inside. If there is no poison or death energy, I'll call you." said Leon. They all nodded, even Hermes nodded.
Seeing their nods, Leon walked to the mausoleum and touched the two-sided door then pushed it. When he pushed opened the door, acrid poisonous mist and corrosive death energy hit his face.
"It seems like, I'll go alone." said Leon, they heard what Leon said. Even before that, they retreated to a safe distance, they already understood that this trial wasn't for them. Without further ado, Leon entered the mausoleum. When Leon entered, the door closed behind him with a loud noise.
