Kapitel 229: Infiltration Part 2

***JAKE'S POV***

Stepping into Desdemona's office was strange and surreal. I tried to focus on the sleek black desk, the expensive and comfortable looking office chair, the chairs for her guests, the sofa in the corner, the freestanding bar and bookcases, all of the real and normal things like that.

"Please, Mr. Belial, have a seat and let's talk." She gestured toward me. I did as she asked and tried not to get dizzy. This was hard because of the fact that I could see what was happening on the floor below this room. This was because floor beneath me was completely see through, and that was a more than a little disconcerting. Just walking across the floor had been a trippy experience in and of itself. Sitting here like this now, I felt like I was about to start falling at any second.
