I feel like there's some untold meaning to the Synopsis, but for my sleepy brain, it's just giving me a headache thinking about it. Can get more detailed description? Is there like a main character or does this novel just talk about animals the whole time.... first there was a rabbit, then there was a goat, the goat said meow somehow meow said the goat, then the rabbit said 'why the hell are you saying meow' and the goat said meow. That's what I'm getting from the description right now. To summarize my review: Need more information, will read and be disappointed that it isn't a novel about a meowing goat and a talking rabbit. [4.0 for now, since I'm naice]
The novel seems cliche with the same 'trash' MC that gets looked down upon by the rest of the world, but he slowly rises to power. However, the context is rather unique in that it is cultivation based in the modern world. According to the synopsis, there was some change in the magnetic poles and the world changed, hence the New Era. I anticipate seeing how modern tech gets linked to past Chinese myths (something like Percy Jackson) Also, the character of the MC is unique and the story is quite funny. It's definitely a worthy read! :)
Chu yu deemed as "once in a millenium" genius in cultivation got thrown off limelight due to a accident and gets labelled as trash. But unknown to Everyone the accident is his lucky encounter to rise above everyone. Witness as he overcomes each obstacle in his own way.

Initially interesting, cultivation style story in a kind of but not really Earth. Opening scenes are fine, although the world history is immensely confusing & inconsistent and the author somehow manages to make it 40+ chapters into the story without ever once explaining how the cultivation levels relate to one another. I am dropping it after a little into MC's first real adventure, where he goes into some ancient tomb. MC finds a spirit pond from ancient times that is a once in a lifetime find... he then trains inside the pond for a few hours, makes great progress, and then he leaves. He has no pressing concerns to drive him away (there is a guardian beast he's hiding from, but it has slept for thousands of years and he has already eluded it & has no reason to believe it will return). In other words - he has the perfect opportunity to get stronger right in front of him, makes up an excuse by saying "I can't stay here much longer" (citation needed) and then leaves, even though he could sit there and make a dozen more breakthroughs effortlessly with essentially 100% safety. He has no time constraints either. The *only* reason I could think for why this happens is because the author is lazy and wanted to continue drip feeding the plot by holding back MC's cultivation level - there is literally no other explanation. And that is extremely fucking obnoxious IMO. It's a story about weak-to-strong cultivation, where the MC's main objective is to get stronger, finds the perfect opportunity to do so... and just walks away from it because the author decided "that's enough now, I can't write another 50 chapters of nothing if I make him breakthrough like any rational thinking sentient being would in this situation." Immediately following that act of phenomenal retardation, MC leaves the pond and goes outside, where he finds his primary enemy lying unconscious beside the river, completely defenseless and injured. MC then says he can't kill him because it could get this girl he likes in trouble. Well that's great and all except that it is profoundly obvious that there is in fact no conceivable way in which getting rid of this guy could get her in trouble, as she is elsewhere and everyone knows that, and him being killed has nothing to do with her, whereas this enemies continued existence is a guaranteed certainty to cause her trouble in future. MC even acknowledges that in future he will be an issue... then he walks off! All I can say is I recommend the story if you like stories where you follow the adventures of a complete imbecile. This is a bit of a rage rant review, but really. I read 40 chapters just to realize the MC and/or author had the brains of a fossilized dino turd, and seemed to expect their readers to be at the same level.

Obviously, in this world nothing can be perfect so I can't rate 5 stars so I rated 4.5 stars. If anyone who like the sacred runes, forty milleniums of cultivation , swallowed star those kind of of novels then this is for you! And if you like even more mysterious powers, a Low Key MC and beauties then you hit the jackpot! :D I hope you enjoy reading it! And please share some of your impression with me. ;p

Hm why do Chinese authors like to right Their synapsis like some type of epic poem that tells the new reads nothing about the story other than it will be some type of epic tail to grandeur? In my opinion this is a very bad move being made by a good portion of Chinese author's. I don't know if this type synopsis works really well in China and thought surten parts of the East. But i am pretty sure it doesn't in the western part of the world and for most people who are natural born English speakers. Most people in the west won't understand these types synapse. So my advice to the people translating and editing these stories is if you notice the story your working on has one of these types of synapses would be To think about what the story's about write your own from what you understand of the story without reveling to much. For example it needs mention main characters name and little bit about his life like were does he live and is he an underdog and if so how. I will stop at saying one last thing because i am onistly just tired typing in trying explain why this is bad for you the translators. Because no matter how good the story might actually be if the synapsis suck it will fail to catch large portion of readers and will ultimately be beat out by stories not as good in the ratings but have more detailed synapsis.
Wait.... before I start this story. First I need to immagine how the fck does a tiger howls? Never mind the fish the leaps to the dragons gate i don't know where that gate is.
Here you get to watch the MC repeatedly let his loved ones suffer and continually fail them. You see how he gets used and tossed around by everyone else and constantly fooled. MC gets a 0/5 for intelligence. At least he gave his family a poison land technique.
This would be the best story..... If the mc's sidekick was the actual mc. Lets see all the things fatty has Girls(but not too much of a horndog) ✔ Power ✔ Talent ✔ Good friends ✔ Powerful backer ✔ Good sect that treats him like family ✔ Moral character ✔ A sect that dorsn't promote racism!!!!! (Yes, it is the first and only) ✔ No bs powerups ✔ What the actual f*ck lol, listing this makes you realize how bs this story is. The biggest problem is mc's 'girlfriend' who he confessed to, she accepted and then didn't really care about it and then liked mc for one chapter and then got ALL of her memories wiped. Yes ALL of them including memories of mc. And for some stupid ass reason he doesn't like the girls who have stuck around with him, helped him, and genuinely love him for who he is.. Can we just get a replacement pls thanks

I recommend that you dont read this, unless you are a masochist, and can endure the pure cringe that happens through out the novel. Its characters are meh. And the story is meh. Its how these two intertwine that makes this annoying to read.
The description of the story is not too helpful in 'describing' the story but after reading few chapters I say it has potential.though some doubts is the mc 20 or 26 and is the cultivation world hidden or is publicly known.
So many unexplained scene, so many annoying thing the mc done and his pathetic girl.. The author cant even utilize the technique the mc knowned and study. at least the update is 3 star, the rest is mehhhh..
Okay, it’s not like I’m being ruthless, it’s just... a mess. I’m usually very accepting of novel ideas, but this is just a terrible assortment. Can’t make any sense of it, at first you can still enjoy it but it just keeps getting more and more out of hand. It’s the first time I felt that the author had absolutely no plan for the novel and just kept throwing in ideas as they came and hope that they fit together. Well, they don’t. I’m really disappointed because this actually had potential. The characters at least are reasonable. Oh well, some people have said that this is a good novel to pass the time while you wait for updates on your favourite novel, but for me it’s just a waste of time, you’ll end up feeling disappointed and frustrated when you drop it. Enough said, it’s just my opinion. Hope some people can still enjoy it.
Even tho it's not a bad modern day xianxia it can't free itself from the cliches. It did start good but i feel like the quality dropped pretty quickly afterwards... Also the seemingly low iq of mc doesn't really help the novel... Well, all in all it's still readable to pass time but it sure ain't a masterpiece ^_^
The novel starts off quite well. The premise is quite interesting even though a bit cliche and the world is extremely interesting since it's set in modern times. The chinese myth elements are also quite cool and the characters are fine. There's just one little problem, after chapter like 300 the Chinese patriotism becomes a bit too annoying. Like always the chinese are number 1 of all time, the whole China has always been the center of the world thing. Also the west is obviously represent as hysterical beings who follow the Vatican. All in all it isn't a bad novel (especially the first 200 chapters) but after a while it starts leaving a bad taste in your mouh.
