{I would believe so. My elders say the Vampires come from a deeper place. They shouldn't be in our homes to begin with.} 

From what I understood of Roach, his words had a simple premise. The stronger a monster the deeper it would be in Hellsgate. This was one thing that few dungeon novels explained. Why did the stronger monsters not leave the lower dungeons?

They ate the black smoke to evolve. They evolved to enslave. They enslaved so that they could go deeper. Apart from floor breaks, Hellsgate monsters never left their nests. It was because much like Stefan it was their mission. 

"What is the name of the goddess who ordered you? What did she look like?"
