Kapitel 17: Chapter 17 : Marlin is a hero?
In the meanwhile when Marlin was following the strangers ; Prince Ethan already saw that . His eyes seem to notice Marlin nowadays which amazes himself too or was she so noticeable.
Lanier who was beside him asked , "Is there something wrong, Your highness?"
"Its nothing...hmm, he wondered.

Marlin De Cloria , The eldest daughter of Count Cloria ; a typical girl he encountered while she accidentally snuck into his bedroom not having any protection. She's like a normal girl like any other ; at least thats what she seemed to him. But to be honest , "Her eyes are pretty..." he thought to himself.
Because its uncommon to have emerald eyes and so it intrigued him.
After she left from his room that night , he gathered at once all the information about her ; her family and any suspicious activity involved within her but he found none so she seems safe in his eyes . But lately it seems like shes getting more and more involved with him.
Yes.
He understood that disguise lady was Marlin later on from his informational source because he doesn't leave anything untouched which might led to suspicion later on.

But he found none .
Literally none so shes out of his radar.
"Lets talk to the princess , i had to communicate since my father said so", sighed Prince Ethan.
"Yes, your highness you should !", Lanier smiles.

They both proceeded to head towards the princess . Prince Ethan as usual approached his step sister to start a conversation regarding royal affairs. The princess bowed to the prince and all the other girls bowed afterwards with the heavy stares towards the prince and they all blushed one by one .
Prince Ethan felt uncomfortable with the glances of the girls because he doesn't like to get involve with them in any way and also not to create any misunderstandings that he likes them back.

"Whats the matter , your highness?", the princess asked .
"Well, its nothing serious ...", he coughed. He doesn't seem to have a cordial relationship with the princess so he has a awkward starting . But the princess don't hate him and his brother either.
"Its father isn't it ? He told me to talk to me right?"
"..."
Prince Ethan is silent . He doesn't seem to deny it, but he will look bad that it also meant he didn't want to talk to her at heart rather forced. But he's known for his honesty so he wont lie .
"Pfft!", the princess laughed.
"Whats so funny? ", the prince was confused.
"You havent changed..."
"Well, sure . I think so too", the prince smugged.
Suddenly Everi came towards the prince asking for him if he wanted drinks. The princess gave a look and took the glass from her .
"I can give him that . You can now leave ...", the princess glared . Everi was terrified and she bowed and went away .
The princess offered the prince a glass . He first denied at first but she kept insisting . He knew she won't stop until he drink thats how much stubborn she was .The prince took it as a gesture since its from his step sister which he cant ignore . Hes not a fan of drinks that much but a sip of it wont hurt would it ?
Hes about to put the glass near his lips-
"Wait, your highness Prince Ethan!!!!"
Marlin came suddenly from behind like she was aware then she smacked the glass from his hands . Seeing this scene everyone in the room was shocked and also her parents were surprised in question .
Sasha gave a look like she will collapse seeing this lol.
Marlin blurted out loud enough for everyone in the hallroom to hear, "Dont drink the juice . Its poisoned!!"

The princess was shocked and out of scariness; she accidentally slipped her glass she just took to drink as she was thirsty on the ground . After that the prince seemed to come to his senses.
"Lanier , catch lady Everi immediately!!"
"YES! Your highness!" , Lanier and the other royal guards rushed off to catch lady Everi who rushed off after handling the glass to the prince to escape in time . Fortunately the prince and Lanier seemed to remember her face so it wouldn't be a problem .

"Huff...huff....", Marlin was breathing heavily . Taking such a rash decision wasn't easy . But she completely forgotten about the aftermath that if the plan to obstruct the drink is successful what will happen next-
She looked here and there and to her certain surprise the waiter was standing there with a weird posture. He suddenly started running towards the prince .
"What do i do , the prince doesn't seem to have complete security around him ...!"
Without a second thought Marlin started running infront of the prince . Until then the waiter holded out a knife to attack him . Marlin hugged the prince before the waiter could stab him .
*Stabs*
Blood started dripping out . The waiter was surprised that he wasnt able to stab the prince . Rather he was obstructed by none other Marlin De Cloria. Before he could do anything he was captured by Shilia.
Marlin was trembling out of pain as she collapsed to the ground in the arms of the prince .
"My lady!!!!", Prince Ethan shouted .
Marlin cant keep up opening her eyes while it shut and her breathing stopped . The princess looked at the prince and was shocked seeing how he was worried. Its rare to see him so worried.
He shouted , "Marlin!! Open your eyes!"
Not thinking he carried her into his arms shouting to Shilia , "Call the royal physician to my room immediately!"
Shilia bowed , "Yes, your highness!!"
He took her to his room leaving everyone in complete shock . Its more like surprises are happening one after another tonight . One is the assassination attempt and another is the rumour of the prince and the lady in question who collapsed saving the prince from that assassination.

Between all this commotion, Marlin's mom panicked seeing her daughter like this . The father and loren was speechless not comprehending to what actually happened. But they cant go against the rule of the prince now hoping their daughter to be well.
News started to spread fast among the nobles then to the whole kingdom of the bravery of the lady risking herself to save the prince of the kingdom . In a sense Marlins heriosm reached far across the place , which is Marlin unaware of course and she's unconscious ..yes.
People started saying , "Lady Marlin is the hero!"
