85.56% Life As a Support Mage of The Protagonist / Chapter 83: Training The Alchemist

Kapitel 83: Training The Alchemist

Euralle woke up feeling excited. Last night, both Ian and Fiona had told her they will be training her. However, it also mean they will not take any commission. She had protested about it, but the two pointed out if they left her alone, her attacker might take the opportunity to kill her.

So, they have to stay, and tale the chance to train her in using her offensive magic. She was very excited. She sworn, she will not become a burden.

So, she waited as they said their farewell to the trio of non-mage. Frankly, as long as Kell is in the group, they should be fine. While she did not interact much with the warrior, no doubt he is the strongest in the party.

Euralle watched him cut 10 kobolds in half, nonchalantly. No doubt, his strength is one of the strength of the party.

"Don't worry, we will not take any gathering commissions, only subjugation," Kell said before leaving the house.

The two then take a seat and continue their breakfast. Euralle raised her brows but decide to not say anything. After all, they did promise to teach her. Surely they will not renege on it.

It almost an hour and those two keep on lazing around. Even someone like her starting to lose patience. So, with her patience running thin, she walked towards the two and asked, "Why are we not training yet?" she did not yell but with how she always keep quiet, it might as well be yelling to her.

"And that the first part of your training completed," what she did not expect is for Ian to act like she just finish a training.

"This training is to make you, well, not forceful, but at least speak your mind more. In everything except for alchemy, you are a pushover, plain and simple," hurtful, but he is not wrong.

"So, we want to make you speak your mind, and maybe, down the line, help you become more confident. Because we told you of it, we could not do anymore secret training, but at least, you know one of your weakness," Fiona take the rein from there.

"We will split your training into two part. The early morning one will be for exercise. Mages mostly stay at the back but we might be force to dodge an attack or if we need to run away. Having decent stamina will be a good start, followed by other physical training," Ian told her.

"Because we already have a sizable yard, we will be doing your physical training there. For your magic training, we will be doing it elsewhere. The location is still something we deciding on, but it is either the Adventure Guild's Training Ground or in the nearby forest," he continued.

She merely nodded, still at the part that her yelling at them is a part of her training.

"Come on, we should build up your physique first. After all, there is no telling if you will need to run away from danger anytime soon,"

-x-

"Ha... ha... ha, I-I am... dying," she said between pauses, her chest rising and failing. Clearly tired from all the physical training.

She felt a towel on her face. "Wipe all the sweat and cool down first. Then take a shower if you want to. After that, we will have lunch," nodding in acceptance, she accepted the offer for a shower.

Considering how sweaty she is, no doubt she needed one.

"Her physical training will be our focus if her magic training goes well," Ian said.

"Do you think it will go well?" Fiona asked.

"I don't think it will, I know it will. Euralle is excellent in mana control, maybe even greater than me. Her only weakness is inexperience and her being a pushover, no doubt to survive a trait we need to either stamp of or help her suppressed it.

She probably can create her own spell. Maybe even be like us, mage that focus on supporting the front line," Ian said.

"So, what do you in mind for training, something hard?" Fiona asked again.

"Do you even have to ask?"

-x-

"Alright, your first training is to hit me. I want you to blast me with Arcane Shot," seeing how she was about to open her mouth, Ian cut of her hesitation, "I will use Shield to protect myself, so don't worry,"

"This is to make you more accustomed to fighting moving enemies. After all, the reason you lose so miserably is because you are not use to fighting enemies on the fly. So, we will work from moving opponent, then attacking opponent. Both will move and make it hard for you to hit them.

So, you need to be able to cast spell quickly and without hesitation. This is something we will work for now, before we get to the more interesting part," she nodded, before looking at Ian with a determined look.

"Let's begin, you can attack me now," Euralle closed her eyes as the spell begin to form. For a beginner mage, it might be fast, but for the two people, it is very slow.

"Arcane Shot," the shot flew, fast to many people but for the experienced one, it is predictable, making it easy to be dodged. Ian merely need to step to the side just to avoid.

Seeing how she did not cast any spells, Fiona call out to her, "Keep on attacking until you are tired or you hit him!" nodding, Euralle cast another Arcane Shot, faster but still slow for them.

"We have a long way to go,"

-x-

"Looks like our focus will be on training your reaction speed, casting speed, and predictability. We will go through them one by one. For now, just rest," acting like a puppet who get it string cut, Euralle went slack, her body falling on the ground, the pink-haired girl no longer able to hold of her exhaustion.

Seeing this, Ian get next to her and help carried her, opting for a piggyback carry, as bridal carry might suggest they are more... intimate.

As if able to listen to his thought, Fiona whispered, after making sure the pink-haired girl already asleep.

"I don't mind if you want to expend your harem, you know," surprised by it, Ian turned towards Fiona, who looked away, but the blush on her cheek is not something she imagine, that's for sure.

"What bring this on?" he asked.

"I think she started to become more and more attracted to us. First it is a crush. As time goes on, the feeling become genuine. So, we either accept her or not. There is no other way," she told him.

"You don't mind. After all, polygamy is possible, it just it is not practiced for good reason, namely, it will be hard for me to shower love and attention to both of you," he reminded.

"I don't mind. As long as I am your number one," Fiona said.

"Of course you will keep being my number one, Fiona," the two share a kiss, before they continue their walk to their house.
