That inadvertently weakened the seal in the Kunxu Domain, thus resulting in the 'deity' being able to force his way into the Kunxu Domain. That was also how Zhang Xuan had managed to bypass the dimension barrier and enter the Azure.

As long as he found the passageway once more, it would indeed be possible for him to return to the Master Teacher Continent.
