Conner tried to message and call Melanie, and when she didn't pick up the phone, he became slightly worried about her. Earlier, Mrs. Davis had acted suspicious with her words, not to mention she had picked up his phone. But both Melanie and he had been sending each other texts while immediately erasing the messages. Such that their phones were clean right now. 

"I will go to the Davis's house, dad," Conner informed his father. 

"Did they forget something?" asked his father.

"No, it's just the movie that Mel and I were planning to watch tomorrow afternoon. I don't know what time we are heading there," explained Conner, and his father gave him a pointed look. 

"Be careful of what you say to Mel, Conner," warned his father. "The others weren't pleased that you both spoke about the vampire's existence to your friend."
