Kapitel 165: Last 2v2
Liam had slept throughout the whole day and night until it was early morning, around 5:00 a.m. When he had awoken, Sheila and Beth were fast asleep near him as he stretched and wondered how long he had been asleep for everybody to be knocked out like that. He got up, looked at the clock and noticed that it was early in the morning but it was still dark outside.
The pain he was feeling had subsided which he was glad about, so Liam decided to go do some meditation before his next match. He remembered faint memories about how the battle went and remembered that Tyranitar had won so he was glad that he didn't have to show his other Pokémon.
Walking outside the hotel and feeling the fresh cold breeze, he went behind the hotel and brought out most of his Pokémon to meditate with him. He knew that his devil powers had surfaced again so he needed to get in touch with his inner self to calm it down, otherwise he didn't know what kind of effects it would have on him and those around him.
Liam needed to go back to the Bellsprout Tower and redeem his peaceful ways or he might just hurt more people in the process. But first, he needed to finish this League quickly as it seemed like it was dragging on for far too long.
This league seemed to be a little bit harder compared to the Kanto League as he was surprised that several trainers had level 100 Pokémon to battle with so he needed to step up his game also.
Liam was sitting there with his eyes closed trying to clear out his mind, yet nothing but violence would appear here and there as sometimes he would lose focus and his face changed emotions causing the Pokémon around him to be worried.
Shadow crept up close to him and knocked Liam in the head causing him to come back to reality as his aura started to grow and horns started to come out of his head.
Liam looked at his Pokemon's a little embarrassed that he had made them worried and apologized and said, "Sorry guys. I just haven't been me lately. It seems like everybody that I had killed is coming back to haunt me so I need to find peace within me so that I can move forward without any interruptions."
Shadow nodded his head as he completely agreed with what he had said. They all went back to meditating until the sun came out and they headed back in to get ready for the next match. This was going to be the last match before going on to the next round where they will be using six Pokémon, One versus One and he knew that the matchups will be much harder.
However, Liam would never back down from a challenge as he had grown stronger and he knew that if he continued to use the power of the devil he would easily win all his matchups, but at the cost of his sanity and pureness.
When he got inside his hotel room Beth and Sheila were already up as they happily welcomed him in. Beth of course was screaming sleepy sleepy sleepy so Liam immediately put her to sleep. Sheila was still amazed at how Liam was able to figure out when Beth needed something.
Liam knew that when Beth grew up and became a Pokemon trainer it would be quite hard for her to win against him. If she thought of all her moves in her head Liam would be able to hear it and counter it every time so that was the advantage Liam had over his children being able to hear their thoughts which could be a good thing and a bad thing.
Liam got dressed in his Johto league gear and headed down to the stadium with his mask on. On his way to the stadium, people were waving at him and cheering him on as he was a favorite to win the whole League so everybody knew about him.
Along the way he passed by Donald who seemed to be pretty pissed at the sight of seeing Liam due to the Pokémon League ignoring him. He wanted a rematch and wanted to know Liam's secrets, but he knew that he was too weak to approach him right now so he needed to get stronger way stronger than Liam and then challenge him again.
But next time, he would beat him and get the secrets out of Liam. He smiled devilishly while looking at Liam's back and he felt like he was chasing Liam now but he didn't care. He wanted to be the best and he felt like he deserved it.
Liam arrived at the stadium just when they announced his name for his battle. He stepped on the stage and noticed this time that it was a female opponent. This was going to be his last two on two battle but he had never seen this girl before so he didn't take her seriously as he checked the level of her Pokémon she was using a Fearow and a Pidgeot.
It seemed like she was a flying type trainer and Liam knew that this battle was going to be quite hard since Tyranitar used mostly ground and rock type moves but he didn't care so he decided to summon Tyranitar anyway.
The girl smirked when she saw that Liam had called out Tyranitar and thought it would be an easy win for her due to the typing of the Pokémon.
