Kapitel 174: Past Love

Ophelia was close with Verena. The two of them were childhood friends as they both lived in the North together. They were two beauties and despite Ophelia's beauty, she was always secondary to Verena. Ophelia was still beautiful with deep brown honeyed tresses and green eyes. It was always known that Verena was beautiful but Magnus had fallen in love with Ophelia when his eyes first found hers.

He was covered in soot and blood. He was stained with crimson, tainted in it. She had come up to him with a bumbling smile and a tender laugh. She was good at conversation with flushed pink cheeks and budding laughter. They met in the Capital when it was the season for conversation.

Magnus still remembers when he first saw her.

"Aren't you cold?" She chirped as Magnus opened his blue eyes to stare up at the young woman.

His sleep had been disturbed, a frown on his face, "I'm from the North. We don't get cold."
