Chapter 32: A task to help

Vaughn ran as if his life depended on it. 

Thanks to the [Lightning Boots], his agility had increased several times, making him much faster. 

Though still visible to normal people, he was quite fast. However, his steps and the splatter of water never ceased. 

Huff huff- 

'How much longer must I run?', Vaughn thought to himself. 

Although he was preoccupied with running, he could still feel as if someone was chasing him. Vaughn took a left turn, walking straight towards an alley that was rather too narrow. 

A barrel could hardly pass through it. 

"Dammit," he knew that turning back was not an option, and hence, decided to escape via the roof, yet again! 

He jumped and grabbed ahold of the bamboo sticks that supported the ceiling and used them to climb up. It took a second or two, but finally, he was on the roof. 

Turning back only once, he spotted two shadows chasing him.
