Kapitel 16: Chapter 16 Class Reunion

"Forget it, I'm not as close to him as you are and I'm not going to guess his riddles with you." McKinney extinguished the cigarette, yawned, "I'm going home to wash and sleep. You should know, in order to create that outrageous contract, I had to exploit so many legal loopholes and ignore so much of my conscience. Really can't take it anymore."

"I didn't know Lawyer White still had a conscience."

McKinney smiled faintly, "There's still some left, I suppose?"

He hung up the phone and threw the cigarette butt into the trash can.

When he passed Norris's ward, he happened to see Norris signing the papers with her head down.

McKinney paused and glanced at Treton.

The man had no expression, showing a coldness unique to him.

In front of Norris, he didn't even pretend anymore.

Frankly, he really couldn't understand what Treton was thinking.

He hated Norris, that much was certain.
