Kapitel 5: The beginning of the real journey

Three days had passed since Ryo woke up from his coma. The doctor had asked him to stay for a little longer to run some additional tests and ensure his health was in good condition.
As Ryo sat at the edge of his bed, contemplating his future plans, he heard a light knock on the door. A soft yet confident voice broke the silence.
Ryo, with his usual calm tone: "Come in."
The door opened, revealing Rias, but she wasn't alone. Behind her stood a young woman with silver hair and gray eyes, dressed in an elegant maid's uniform. However, she carried an aura of great, cold power, radiating a demonic strength Ryo had never felt before. Despite his internal shock, his face remained calm, showing only slight respect.
Rias, breaking the heavy silence with enthusiasm: "Ryo, are you ready to return to the human world? Everyone's waiting for you!"
Ryo, directing his gaze toward the mysterious woman behind Rias: "Yes, but... who is this lady?"
Rias, with a small smile: "Ah, sorry! This is Grayfia, my brother's Queen and his wife. She's also the housekeeper of the Gremory clan."
Grayfia, in a quiet yet deep voice: "Pleased to meet you, Ryo-san. I'm glad you've recovered."
Ryo, with a slight nod: "It's an honor to meet you, Grayfia-san."
Rias smiled, trying to break the awkward silence that began to fill the air: "Alright then, let's go! Everyone's waiting for you!"
Ryo nodded silently and began to follow Rias and Grayfia. The atmosphere was heavy with silence, and Rias seemed to be trying hard to find something to talk about, but couldn't gather her thoughts. Ryo, on the other hand, was lost in his own thoughts. His plans were clear in his mind: reading in the Occult Club's library, strengthening his body, training his spirit, and even finding a mentor to learn magic. He was focused on each step to enhance his power for the challenges ahead.
Meanwhile, Grayfia watched Ryo quietly, her gray eyes following him cautiously. The doctor had reassured everyone about his condition, but Grayfia was looking for any signs of psychological disturbance or madness. However, she didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. Ryo appeared normal, even more calm and focused than expected.
As they approached the magic circle that would return Ryo to the human world, Rias was still trying to ease the tension, but Ryo remained silent, focused on his future plans, determined to return stronger than before.
Both Rias and Ryo stood in the middle of a magic circle that would transport them to the human world. Ryo looked at the circle, and though he had seen it before in the Occult Club's room, he couldn't help but admire the strange and intricate designs that adorned it. Suddenly, information about how it worked appeared in Ryo's mind, shocking him. But before he could process it, the magic circle activated, surrounding them both in a bright red light, and then they disappeared from the circle.
After Rias and Ryo vanished, Grayfia remained standing before the magic circle. Suddenly, the sound of footsteps echoed behind her.
"How was the meeting with Ryo?"
Grayfia bowed and spoke: "It went well. There were no disturbances, and he is much calmer than before. His physical and magical power has increased."
"Good, when he grows stronger, he will be a great asset to Rias."
Grayfia: "Yes, Lucifer-sama."
This person was Sirzechs Lucifer, Rias's older brother.
In the human world, at Kuoh Academy, everyone was waiting for Rias and Ryo in the Occult Club's room.
Suddenly, the magic circle began to glow, and Rias and Ryo appeared in its center. Everyone approached them.
Akeno: "Welcome back, Ryo-kun."
Kiba: "It's good to see you're alright, Ryo."
Issei: "Ryo-san, I'm glad you're okay."
Koneko: "Glad you're okay."
Ryo looked at them, then spoke: "Thanks, but I have to go."
Before anyone could respond, Ryo quickly left. Rias tried to call out to him, but it was in vain, as Ryo had already departed.
As Ryo walked through the hallways of the Occult Club, a terrifying smile formed on his face.
Ryo: "If the information in my head is correct, it seems I need to adjust the plan."
While standing on the magic circle, Ryo had received information about how it worked. The magic circle consisted of spatial magic and positioning magic, making it a fixed magic circle.
Only high-ranking individuals could use this magic circle.
Even for Rias and Akeno, using it was difficult, requiring a great amount of energy. The rest of the members couldn't use it at all.
But now that Ryo understood its principle, he could create his own magic circle or even develop his own teleportation technique.
As he opened the club's door, Sona Sitri, Rias's friend and rival, stood there. She was also the President of the Student Council, composed entirely of her peerage members. Sona, unlike Rias who possessed great magical power, was known for her intelligence and strict demeanor. She was shorter than Rias, with short black hair and glasses, carrying a bag in her hand.
Ryo looked at her calmly, showing no surprise as he had sensed her presence outside the club's door.
Sona spoke quietly: "I'm glad you're okay."
Ryo: "Thank you, Madam President."
Sona: "These are your new school uniforms. I assume your old clothes are no longer usable."
Ryo: "Thank you for your concern. I'll return to school tomorrow."
Sona: "Good. As for your new appearance, don't worry. It's been handled, so no one will notice the changes."
Ryo took the clothes from Sona and nodded.
Ryo: "I'll take my leave now."
Ryo walked past Sona and continued on his way.
Sona watched Ryo's back as he disappeared among the trees. She smiled a little: "It seems he has changed."
She then proceeded to enter the Occult Club to meet Rias.
Upon entering the room, the atmosphere was a bit gloomy.
Sona: "What happened?"
Rias looked at Sona and spoke: "It's Ryo, he didn't even stay for a minute and left in a hurry."
Sona: "That's normal. Did you think he would trust you all again so quickly after what happened to him? I think he needs some time."
Rias: "It's all my fault."
Rias was filled with regret.
Issei: "Rias-senpai, don't worry, Ryo will come back like before."
Sona looked at Issei with disdain, wondering why such a perverted idiot carried the Red Dragon Emperor's gear. Everyone in the room knew the old Ryo was dead.
Rias: "Yes, of course. I'll show him how much I care, and he will return as he was before."
Rias still had hope that Ryo would come back the way he used to be.
At the same time, Ryo was wandering through Kuoh Town, planning to buy some food, new clothes, and training equipment.
He pulled out a bank card and smiled.
Ryo: "It seems the Gremory clan is quite wealthy to gift me ten million as a gesture. They even restored my old house, which had been repossessed by the bank."
Ryo looked around, noticing that all the girls and women were eyeing him with admiration and lust.
Ryo shuddered a little: "If I don't leave, I'll lose my virginity here."
Quickly, he headed to a shopping center, bought food, clothes, and a new phone, and then left.
When he arrived at his old home, he was shocked by what he saw. His old two-story house had become much larger.
Ryo entered his new home, and everything was neat and clean. He began to explore, finding a kitchen, living room, and an empty room on the first floor.
On the second floor, there was a bathroom and three bedrooms. On the third floor, there was a library and a large balcony overlooking the sunset.
The fourth floor contained five large rooms, each with all the amenities and a private bathroom. One room had a large bed, a glass bathroom, and a jacuzzi overlooking the balcony where one could watch the sunset.
Ryo: "It seems the Gremory clan rebuilt the house exactly as I liked. Rias must have told them every detail I wanted."
Ryo recalled when he talked about his dream of becoming rich, restoring his old house, and transforming it into the best home.
Ryo activated a special magical field to further inspect the house, searching for any surveillance cameras or listening devices, but found nothing unusual, except for the discovery of a large basement underneath the house.
Ryo then headed to the balcony and saw that the garden had become bigger and there was a large swimming pool.
Ryo smiled, took out his phone, and placed an order for some training equipment, including ten iron dummies, and requested the installation of a new swimming pool with powerful water jets.
Ryo: "Now the real training begins."
A dark aura surrounded Ryo as he rose into the sky.
Ryo: "Go out and find any stray devils, demonic beasts, or fallen angels, anything suspicious. Learn their locations, but do not reveal yourselves. If they're weak, kill them and leave no trace. Avoid Ryas and her nobles, or Suna and her nobles."
The shadow of Ryo expanded, and three knights emerged from it, kneeling.
After Ryo finished giving his instructions, the knights transformed into shadows and took off.
Ryo placed his hand on the edge of the balcony and gazed at the sunset.
