Kapitel 22: Anomaly
"There isn't an ounce of cursed energy in your body?" Gojo said suddenly.
'Damn, how did he know?'
Kakashi's mind flew back to the time when Gojo identified Toji, he instantly came to the conclusion that Toji didn't have cursed energy. The case was the same for him.
Kakashi kept silent, there were some things he just couldn't explain. He couldn't tell Gojo that he uses chakra, he was damn sure that Gojo had read the Naruto manga.
"And you know that." Gojo said.
"Yeah."
"Since when could you tell?' Kakashi questioned.
"Since we got into the car when Mr. Yaga picked us up."
Mei Mei didn't speak she was clearly in deep contemplation, the two men seemed to have forgot that she was there carrying someone's leg in a sack.
"So, explain."
Kakashi sighed.
"Did you even read the manga? Why would you be asking me when you've read it."
"I was just checking."
"You know that throughout history you are the first in this case, there have been normal people and Jujutsu sorcerers. There has never been a case where someone uses a type of energy from a fiction." Gojo said.
'Tell that to Gege!'
"In truth, I learn the techniques I use by watching the anime." Kakashi admitted.
"That proves it!" By now the existence of Mei Mei had been forgotten, "Your name is connected to it."
"Connected to what?"
"You've already admitted it so why play dumb now!"
Kakashi understood what Gojo said, he meant his name was connected to the original Kakashi from the anime. Kakashi couldn't just wake up and tell him that he mixed the two names together, some days ago.
'Maybe I'll write it in my biography.'
"It isn't, just think of it as a coincidence because it is."
"You're not fooling me!" Gojo declared. "The name Kakashi as from the manga and Kishimoto from the author of the manga."
"In fact, I think that you just changed the M and put K, and another K for S."
'To be honest, I never really thought about it that much. I just went with the flow because I felt like I was supposed to give respect to Masashi Kishimoto for creating the character.'
"I didn't name myself, we have parents for that."
"You don't look much like the Kakashi, he had longer hair than you, he had a headband covering his right eye unlike you and he wore a mask unlike you. Seriously, you just look like a downtuned version of me!"
'Gege...'
"Let's drop the matter, we are just going in circles. You were talking about why I couldn't use cursed energy."
Kakashi was slowly getting ticked off by Gojo comparing himself to him, it wasn't his fault that Gege really copy-changed.
"Yes. Why can't you use cursed energy?" Gojo asked.
"Who knows? I've always been special."
Gojo furrowed his eyebrows, he didn't accept it but he dropped it for now.
"Then you use chakra."
"That essentially makes you a new type of human, you have no access to cursed energy but you use chakra. That also means that you have chakra points, like in the manga. Normally, cursed energy is stored in the stomach but your type of energy is divided into eight points.
You are really another entity on your own, trying to recall of that is a headache." Gojo complained.
"Wait! Did they actually create soul information?" Mei Mei questioned.
Kakashi felt like he needed to hit Gojo's head a few times, it was his fault, he couldn't wait for the beauty to leave before he started talking. Oh no, he had to get everything out.
Kakashi felt bad at himself, it had been a week since he transmigrated so he naturally felt some attachment towards the leg she was carrying. How could he forget that the person with his leg was next to him.
"Hmm." Gojo hummed.
"There is a possibility."
"There is no possibility, you actually think that they copied information and put it inside another body. Gojo have you been watching too much anime?" Kakashi snorted.
"I don't mean from the manga, my thought is the soul information was gotten from somebody that lived long ago, maybe from the Heian era? It could be that someone once existed – you once existed to be exact, and died. Someone resurrected you with your soul and body information – but left your memories out."
'Wow, if I didn't know myself any better I would have believed him!'
Kakashi was impressed by Gojo's theory, he was even starting to believe that it was somewhat correct.
'Sigh. I wonder why I couldn't be in Dragon Ball right now, nothing is as complicated as it.' Kakashi complained in his heart.
In Dragon Ball there were dragon balls that brought someone back to life when they died, in Jujutsu Kaisen you could use soul information to bring someone back to life, you could also use idol transfiguration to bring someone back to life.
This was just too stressful, in one the supernatural could only do the supernatural however here even an unqualified bum could bring your ass back to life.
"But on the other hand, I can still use cursed energy!" Kakashi declared.
There was a theory of his, but he hadn't tested it.
"You don't have a miligram of cursed energy in your body, furthermore you have the eight chakra points in your body and no cursed energy is even remotely close to your stomach."
"I'll prove it when I get my leg back." Kakashi declared.
It was only then Gojo remembered that the only reason he was holding this teen was because he had lost his leg in a fight against a cursed spirit.
"Are you talking about gathering cursed energy from the surrounding."
"Ack! How did you know?!" Kakashi exclaimed.
"It's obvious actually, cursed energy is always in the surrounding as its being produced by normal people. Emotions like anger, greed, envy and lust are rampant this year, even a bum who knows a little about CE will be able to tell that its overflowing in the air, you are no exception." Gojo explained.
"Isn't that because of you." Kakashi deadpanned.
His birth caused a greater influx of cursed spirits than even 1000 years ago, but he was the 3rd strongest human being alive: Toji, Yuki, Gojo.
"Leaving that aside, you need to know that the only way to kill a curse is with a curse. With the way that you've been acting, even the first time we met you didn't use cursed energy.
It's impossible to exorcise a curse if you don't have cursed energy, you're new so take that as the most important lesson."
After that there was pin-drop silence on the street, it was a hot sunny day so not many people were outside. The few people that were outside were glancing fearfully towards the two kidnappers in school uniform.
Gojo and Mei Mei, they walked side to side and wore almost-the-same uniform, were carrying a boy that had a leg cut off.
Kakashi didn't like the looks they were giving him.
"Why couldn't we have taken the car back?"
Gojo sighed.
"The mission wasn't assigned by our school and I just dropped by to check if you were doing an okay job. Mei was supposed to go to the train station after she was done with her mission, but you became a liability and thus she has to help.
I didn't get permission from the school to assist her."
Silence once again reigned and they continued walking. They came across a peculiar shop, that seemed to spur something in Gojo's memory as he realized something.
"Oh, my bad. We passed the school by two miles."
"..." Kakashi.
"..." Mei Mei.

Gojo scratched his head embarrassed and they began to walk back.
