Kapitel 6: New Teammate

Natasha was flying fast towards John's room.

She looked frightened.

It was just morning time. While she crossed the windows the sun rays went right through her showing that there is nothing physical to get in contact with.

She was heading towards John's room. She saw the priests and others throughout the hallway. She even saw the students who are training to become priests.

The doorway was huge. On the way there were too many diversions and doors. Every door had symbols that were used to protect the students from ghosts and evil spirit's.

Nothing stopped her from moving forward. She was too desperate by the looks of her.

She reached John's room. He was sleeping because of the late night work yesterday.

She passed right through the door and the symbols didn't seem to be affecting her. She came near John and shouted at him,

-"There are a lot of problems around us and you are sleeping like a careless baby."

John didn't wake up. Instead he turned to the other side and continued sleeping. Natasha became angry, she screamed in his ear,

-"WAKE UP LAZY HEAD…"

John became shocked and woke up. He sat on the bed and started clearing his eyes. He looked at Natasha and saw that she's angry. He cleared his face and used his hands to straighten his hair. After that he asked,

-"What the hell do you want in the morning? Can't you even give me some contentment in my sleep?"

Natasha came near him. She was walking loudly, like a cute little angry girl. She said,

-"Look human. This is not time to talk or sleep. Get on your feet, we have to save that poor kid."

While they were talking someone knocked on the door. John got up and walked towards it. He opened the door and saw Fr. Sebastian standing in front.

He looked serious. He always looks serious and for some reason John felt Fr. Sebastian is kind of evil. There are rumors that he used to be an atheist. John was curious why Fr. Sebastian came to see him. John asked,

-" What is the matter father? Why have you come here so early?"

Fr. Sebastian looked at John. It was clear that Fr. Sebastian dispiced John. He looked at John's clothing. John was wearing a white t-shirt with shorts just like any other teenager. But the people in the church were different. They had special clothing even for their casual times. With a disappointment on face he said,

-"Fr. George asked for the report, "About your exorcism last night."

John was amazed to hear that. He never thought that the church knew about it. He asked,

-"How come Fr. George knew about it?"

Fr. Sebastian smirked at John. He said,

-"Do you really think that we didn't know? Everyone including yourself is under surveillance. It's for your own protection."

John looked down and said,

-"Sorry father, I'll submit the report by the end of the day. Now if you please excuse me, I have work to do."

Fr. Sebastian turned around and walked away. After a few steps he stopped and said,

-"Try to follow the rules of the church. Or you will become a stranger inside here. You know what happens to strangers, don't you?. As I said, you are under our surveillance. We know all about you and the one you talk to."

After saying that he walked away. John was shocked to hear that from Fr. Sebastian. He closed the door and walked towards his bed. He sat on it and looked down thinking about it.

After a few seconds he looked at Natasha. She was waiting there impatiently. John looked down again.

Natasha asked,

-"Are you coming or what?

What was that all about? And why does that guy look serious all the time? He looks kinda handsome. Well who is he talking about? Who are you talking to?"

Without saying a word John looked at her. She was curiously looking at him. Suddenly her face became wider like she found something. Natasha said,

-"oh god. Was he talking about me?

How did they know about me?

Can they see me?

Are they planning to exercise me?

Were they going to kill me?"

John looked up and looked at her. He said,

-"Stop the acting drama queen. I know the holy water or any exorcism have any effect on you. So pretending to be scared is not working with me. And besides there is no one else who can see you. If they could, they would have already tried to send you to the afterworld.

That's not the problem. Why are they having surveillance on us? What is the real reason?"

Natasha started laughing like foolish. She was scratching her head like she forgot it. Suddenly she looked up like she remembered something.

"JUNE…"

Natasha shouted.

John looked at her and she was yet again angry. She said,

-"You have wasted enough time. Come quickly before something bad happens."

John stood up and walked towards the closest. He was going to change his dress. But Natasha said,

-"Hey, just come quick, there is no time to change your clothes."

She was in a hurry. John took his backpack and opened the door. She didn't even let him lock the door.

They ran towards the main door. John took his bike and headed towards the place Natasha mentioned.

Meanwhile in another place, some poachers were trying to capture a little animal. It was in the forest not too far from the church. The animal was glowing like gold even on the brightest day.

It was hurt but so desperate to escape from the hands of those cruel men. It ran towards the road and the poachers were following it.

The animal ran into the road and it hit a running car. It fell down but the driver didn't even notice that something hit his car. The animal was too small to notice and it hit the car on its back side door.

The animal stopped glowing. It seemed like it was unconscious. The poachers were getting close to it. They felt happy because they got the animal without much effort.

They ran into the road and they were about to pick it up.

Suddenly one of them said,

-"Hey…! Stop. I think that... Come quickly and hide."

The first guy became confused but he ran into the forest with the others and hid.

John came on his bike and Natasha told him to stop there. She showed him the unconscious animal lying on the road. John got confused and asked,

-"You brought me here so quickly to show a poor dead animal?"

Natasha looked at him and said,

-"It's not dead you moron. You have to take care of it. It's not like we only help humans. Animals are important too. Besides, just don't take a quick look but on your right side, in the forest there are some thieves waiting for you to move on. So they can take the animal for themselves."

John understood what she said. He didn't look at the side but he concentrated his hearing towards the direction. John had amazing abilities in controlling his own body and instincts. They were speaking,

-"What about the animal?"

The other voice -" Don't mind that, we do have the other two. This is just the small one."

The first voice -"So… is he the one?"

The other voice -" Yes. He's the one"

John didn't understand what they said but he realized they knew him. He looked at that side.

The first guy said,

-" He's onto us. Let's flee."

They ran and vanished into the forest. John started thinking about what they said. He was checking on the animal while he was thinking. He realized it was a lemur. It was not injured but just unconscious.

John picked it up and put it inside a safe place inside his vehicle.

Natasha came near him and said,

-"Aww… look how cute he is. How can those thieves capture and sell something as cute as him?

Hey… June… What was that all about? Why were the thieves saying that you are the one?"

John looked at her. But he was also confused about it and he didn't have an answer. He said,

-"they're not thieves, they are poachers. So even the poachers know something about me."

While he was thinking his phone started ringing. He took the call and his face changed.

He cut the call and said,

-"We have to go somewhere right away."

Natasha became curious and looked at him. She came close to him and asked,

-"Why? What happened? Who was on the phone?"

John looked more serious than usual. He said,
